Intimacy with God is not based upon your pursuit of God; it’s based upon God’s pursuit of you... You’ll never pursue God unless He creates a hunger in your heart for Him. He is always the great initiator, the great pursuer.

So what are we to do whilst waiting for Him to place a hunger in our heart for Him?

​@@Phil-oy6mwmaybe, we actively wait for him. Clean house, repent, obey. Read and pray. To be a watcher on the wall, guarding and waiting, expectantly for our beloved Christ to appear as the rays of the morning son.

Well we don't wait for that hunger in our heart, but by realizing it is God wrought and not something we work out, we are encouraged to by faith pursue the LORD. As it says in James, draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Oh what a beautiful message of the old time realities of our forefathers in the faith who encountered God so radically! My heart was strangely warmed listening to this🙏🏻
