We love being able to help clean up around the donation bins and ensure that illegally dumped items get properly washed and donated! You'll see when we go through them, but lots of the clothing was actually too stained or torn up to be donated, so I think whoever dumped these here might have just been looking for an easy way to get rid of trash for free. Thankfully we were able to sort through and pull out the usable clothing, which we will be washing and donating properly! We had fun and hope you enjoy our video today. See you tomorrow!! x

Tbf, a lot of those donation bin contents aren't intended to go directly to charity. It does depend on the company that owns them, but a lot of them just bundle it and sell it by the pound for rags. It should say on the bin, somewhere, where the donations are going. Such as Diabetes, etc foundations will sell the items to Value Village, etc and let the 2nd hand shops do the selling. 2nd hand shops usually have "rag off" bins for stained or ripped material items as well. So no worries, whoever dropped them off wasn't completely evil...just a tad obtuse 😅

Kelly, you and Alex are doing the right thing and salvaging what you can keeping it from the landfill. It's disheartening to know that some people are so arrogant as to throw their trash at donation bins and it's sad that some people will throw away items with absolutely nothing wrong with them instead of donating them so that someone that may need it but can't afford to buy them new. It’s amazing how many clothes that are tossed because of stains, rips and wear. When you actually see those types of clothes for sale. I’ve seen worn out collars, rips/holes in jeans and bleached stain clothes go for big dollars. And if I get a hole in my clothes I feel sad about it, when actually I shouldn’t feel too bad about it, I’m just giving it another look🤷♀️. Minus the blood stained clothes. You really found a lot of clothes and items to be saved from the landfill. Thanks for taking the time to sort and washing them. ⭐️👍🙏

Actually don’t throw any fabric away! What I do is donate to companies that take the fabric in any condition even holes and stains underwear bedding they take it all! And they recycle the material I’m not sure how but breaking it down to make new things! I am donating currently with SuperCircle Thousand Fell and they take all the fabric to make new sneakers! They even give you $65 off to buy a pair of their shoes which are pricey but very worth it! Thanks Kelly and Alex for saving so many useable items especially clothes!

My dad (back in 1950s, 60s) used to love for us to bring in bags of “rags”. Clothing, cloths, that are stained and not donation worthy. Why? Because he was a builder, and mechanic who needed cloth all the time to clean things that def. Would be thrown away after. so I would buy cheap bags of clothes for rags. Love your channel!
