Hola, nice run … you are pretty good at LO206 momentum racing. It always amazes me that you can race hard and commentate at the same time … That's a talent unto itself... Cool to see my ole Orlando Fl. racing bud and enduro team mate Adam Parker (Eagle) checking out your site. He is a really good guy and talented racer, makes great vids too … I know he appreciates your vid tek info. Keep the pedal to the metal mi amigo.

Sometimes I talk too much and need to focus on driving but I started commentating for my friends that thought we just go out there and drive and that's it. There's a lot of strategy, adjustments and thinking going on and I wanted to try to show a little of that. Thank you so much for supporting the channel.

What are you using to get the audio to the camera on your helmet? I’ve always thought about doing something like this for my little videos to help train other drivers when I follow them on track.

I have a Go Pro 5 and use a Giant Squid Audio Lab Omnidirectional Microphone (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00HWMG44U/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). You have to buy an adapter called a GoPro Pro 3.5mm Mic Adapter (HERO6 Black/HERO5 Black/HERO5 Session as well. I did my first video using a Go Pro 4 and used this mic (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VWCK0BE/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). It worked great the first time but then failed. Maybe I got a bad one but the good thing was that it plugs directly into the Go Pro so you don't have to buy the adapter on that one.

These LO 206 karts seem to really like to follow another kart. The draft is bigger than I expected.

Thanks for the info. Now I just have to figure out how to make it stay in the helmet when using it.

I put velcro on the helmet so the adapter will stay and I feed the mic wire from the back of the helmet into the cheek pad (where I shove all the excess wire) and then tape the mic to the helmet close to my mouth.

What software are you adding to get all the race details and speedometer on the screen? Is this a MyChron 5 thing?
@weirdstonk7294 жыл бұрын
Drew Maw I think it’s on the GoPro software

Good vid. Have you considered putting the second camera behind you to showing other karts following? Just a thought.
@IllegalAlienRacing6 жыл бұрын
Yes, I tried to mount one on the side pod facing backwards but there's too much vibration to be usable footage. Behind the seat would be best but I'll have to find a mount that will work.

Can you not mount the 2nd one to your helmet also?

What didn’t you like about lo206

It got a bit boring when you drive by yourself after a while, but I didn't really dislike it at all.

‘Boring slow’ karts that penalizes you heavily for mistakes.

Waaaay too much lifting. Keep the throttle wide open and do a few brake taps to adjust speed on entry.
