1: Where your not utilizing the whole track, carry a little more speed through the turn and use all that track. 2: A chin mount for your camera would greatly reduce the constant wind drag. 3: On the long straights duck your head down, you can gain your top speed a little sooner and gain a little on your lap times. Other than that you're doing great!

It’s kinda of hard to remember that information but those little details can help a lot if done correctly

The cam douse isn't big enough to affect wind drag
@zackaryneeley45914 жыл бұрын
Ducking don't really help either lol

@@zackaryneeley4591 There is wind drag. and ducking down the straights does help. Practice makes perfect! Watch how pro racers do it.

nasanction doesn’t air affect more a small fast object than a big slow moving one. Cuz if that is correct. The camera position and ducking will help

Hey man, I was the one that introduced myself after race, keep up the good videos! I enjoy the commentary during which many people don't do

That was a great video. Thanks for doing this. I really would like to get into this. Like many of the guys on here I grew up with a go kart. Thanks again and keep up the good work.

Love the videos, could you perhaps explain more about the hand/ arm gestures, and about general setup possibilities (like f.e.toe in out, adding under/oversteer and why, can you adjust camber caster, wheelbase(with), etc.?) and explain why to apex early/ late in certain cornering circumstances, and how the rules to fold or pass are? Yep, I'm asking for almost the whole nine yards basically, I hope you might make a video about what I like to see, and perhaps I have forgotten other interesting Karting facts/ hints and tips you might want to share. Happy new year :)

I plan on making videos on more complex subjects but I'll get DKC to help explain as I'm still learning myself. Thanks for the ideas!

Never tried an LO206, I drive a 30hp Rok. How is it? Bet it's fun even if it's not the most powerful thing ever.

It's good fun. Definitely a great place to start if you're new. Teaches you to be consistent and keep the momentum going.

This looks like so much fun, I think I might get one after some research

If you like to go faster, get a Rok Gp or VLR 100, if you are a beginner get a Lo206

My lo206 stays at 4300 rpm when I go full throttle but I gain speed. Would it be my clutch allowing for the rpm to stay the same and the speed to increase?
@devtavares21903 жыл бұрын
Most likely it's more along the lines of the torque required to maintain that rpm goes down.
@kaleip5 жыл бұрын
What clutch are you using?

Thank you Doug Marsh of Rocketech Racing for CREATING the LO206 class!!!!!! I am sooo glad this is spreading!!!! I raced 206 in 2010 at Thompson Kart Raceway in Thompson Oh, the heart of it all and I am just now getting back into it. LOVE IT!!!!!!

Lower gearing allowing them to get more rpm out if engine.
@andy.12367 жыл бұрын
What kind of gearing did you use?
@IllegalAlienRacing7 жыл бұрын
16 in the front, think I used a 56 in the rear for this race.
@baps2m6 жыл бұрын
From the looks of your RPMs i dont think you were using all the potential of the engine. You never once hit the rev limiter on the back straight. Add a tooth and you would prolly pull a little harder coming off the slow turns. I also noticed that you were dipping lower then 3400 rpms . I would try to stay above 3600rpm if you can. Gearing will definitely help you out.
@christopherrandolph24555 жыл бұрын
baps2m I agree. Should just be bouncing off the limiter at the end of the straightaway with a 206. That will help you a lot. Try a 58 in the rear then a 60 if the 58 didn’t get it until you find it. You’ll see your times come down.

What's the point in buying a 50 mph kart, if you don't first know and learn how to use it on a 30 mph kart?
@marcobrancorsini24795 жыл бұрын
Well buy a good chassis, get an LO206 first and after learning the art of karting get something serious like an X30... if you haven't already done that since this comment is 1 year old.
