@@ungzheenedd2273 Same here. I listened to the lyrics a hundred times and never gave it a second thought until I decided to look up the MV and was completely dumbfounded. I agree with Explore17... I would be surprised if the majority of people who listened to this song weren't thinking the same thing. Guess I should start looking up the music videos more often... cause evidently the lyrics aren't enough of a description. Had the same situation when I was listening to Conrad Sewell "Remind Me" - Always thought that this guy was struggling through life and all the challenges he was facing and how the girl he was with gave him the strength to go on and face his demons. Little did I know that the song was about a young man and how his father was there for him and guiding him through life and how even though when he passed away He was still with him,- It's actually a sad song (good sad) when you watch the video - much like this video. I suppose that's the beauty of certain music - it can come across completely different to the listener compared to how the artist intended it. Not that it's a bad thing - it's just about perspective and how someone sees the world and their views on various topics and such.

THIS SONG AND VIDEO DESCRIBE THE EVENTS LEADING UP TO ME FINDING WHO I BELIEVE IS MY SOULMATE. she entered my life at a time I gave up on relationships and love...or what I thought love was. I wasnt even looking for friends at this point. People are disappointing. Anyway, this chick would randomly talk to me, ask me how I was trying to get to know me give me compliments, tell horrible DAD jokes. She was into me, not my type, chill friend though. But I stg out of nowhere I had these feelings and was thinking about her, she's so corny, amazing personality, kind, intelligent, optimistic, and we had things in common...a lot in common. I denied the strong feelings that came out of nowhere and consumed me whole soul...i was able to shut down feelings for other women that were interested, i didn't want to get hurt again so i didnt want a relationship. Feelings happened.. strong ones. I was attracted to her corny little self. She's a dork. She brought out the corny dork in myself. So there I was minding my own business trying to be single when the universe sends me someone who i ended up connecting with on every. Single. Level. I wanted to run, she was getting to close, oh no! I didn't like how i was unable to just ignore ny feelings...it was easy to do with all the other women who showed interest. I felt vulnerable but interested. And I realized I was into her one day while we were talking. Her smile got me, and I realized she was smart. Kind. Optimistic. Didnt talk about herself all the time and was interested in what i had to say, i was 100 percent my weird awkward self, I wasn't trying to impress. Anywayz, eventually she gave me butterflies and knew I was into her but I denied it for awhile. Anyway We kissed and my soul was ignighted and I had a rush of amazing through my body. Our souls collided i swear to God It was like the end of the video when they touched. The orange is my soul and real raw feelings. I have never felt these feelings for anybody ever and it grew over time. Had me saying and doing things I've never said. Im awkward but words came so effortlessly for once in my life. She was someone I could be 100% honest with, someone who has seen my weird and matched it. Over time I realized we connected deeply on a spiritual level especially. Anywayz, im pretty sure she's my soulmate. I labeled the intense feelings for her as love, has to be. I get high on her. She's intoxicating. I wasnt looking, didnt want it, but couldn't help it. This is gonna be a story I gotta share because I couldn't listen to this song the first time without crying midway through. Years ago I got into a terrible car accident where I was rearended and damaged my left eye. I was so scared when it happened and spent the next couple days in the hospital. Luckily I survived because everyone said it was really fatal. I walked out with some bruises but permanent damage to my left eye which is gonna stay with me until my time is up probably. Watching this music video brings back flashbacks of the event in both a good and bad way. Back then I only had my internet girlfriend to talk to those following months after the accident, I felt glad she took it seriously even if distance was a major factor we weren't together yet. But it was hard not having someone physically to hug and cry on their shoulder. Seeing the couple in the music video reminds me of those hardships I faced with my accident and the distance between my gf & I. Today I am much more healthier and she is with me in person. So, thanks Illenium for this. Your music has uplifted my mood on my worst days and I'm looking forward to more music I can relate to in the future
