I'm an alum. Was watching in my apt complex in Chicago burbs. As soon as Griff hit that shot, I heard screams coming from different units. So awesome. Go Illini!!

That was terrific! The scoreboard did not award that last basket right away. The big crowd got nervous as the overhead video board showed the replay. The first camera view -- no clock inthe picture. The second view -- still can't tell. THe third view -- CLEARLY IN TIME. Pandemonium!

According to your math, of the 8,000 people in Assembly Hall 2,000 were IU fans... Wow, that is quite the trail of tears headed back to Bloomington last night.

the illini can be happy with the win tonight over IU, but it was only possible because it was Tyler's growth in being a leader that made it possible,way go to TEAMI. ILLINI. KEEP. TRYING AND YOU WILLGO FAR

oh how ironic. i guess they werent happy about how we stormed the court but they need to remind themselves that it was the same case when they beat kentucky like a few weeks before or whenever it was. they also stormed the court. i loved seeing them just standing there like uhh.....did that just happen when it all came down to the end. OH HOW SWEET IT IS!!!!!!!!!!!!

poor support? i dont think they were really worried about that. did you see the end? seriously......they are just fine.whether the seats are filled or not they have their support and they know it.

For completeness, the IlliniProductionsHD should have included the numerous Illiniflops, so crucial to securing this victory, as well as the technical that was called and the one that was not (on coach Groce), the actual margin. But congrats anyway.

basically it was close till the end of the first half where indiana was up by around ten and illinois would make a run indiana would counter back and forth until dj richardson hit 2 threes and a 2 pointer to get within 2 then paul hit 2 free throws to tie the game until griffeys lay up to win

I remember being told that no Illini tribe ever existed, implying that permission was never possible. But also, if native groups never wanted to be represented in such a way, they shouldn't have taught sacred dances to frat boys. I did understand banning the image of the chief on the buttocks of women's shorts. (His image was progressively banned, eventually completely.)

Give Underwood this team and they would have won 25+ games and had a winning league record easy. 8-10 with this squad was a joke. Joseph Bertand never got the coaching he deserved. he should have been an all-Big Ten type of player. He was good, but there was so much more there.

Congrats to the Illini on the huge win. Too bad the place was nearly half empty and 25% of the people that were there were IU fans. Poor support.

How do you explain the Native Reserve vote of 75% in support of using Chief Illiniwek as Illinois' mascot in 2007 then?

Are you kidding me? If you've watched Illinois play in B10 conference play, you'd notice they are called for more fouls AT HOME than their opponents. Ill has an overall negative foul differential with an average 2 fouls per game (fpg) boost at home, which by the way is still a -2 fpg differential (-4 fpg on the road). They also had a negative foul differential last night, & there were missed calls on each end; don't be a crybaby. Both teams played hard, Illinois got the last shot.
@nmullins2012 жыл бұрын
In all fairness, the video is clearly labeled "Illinois Highlights vs Indiana" and is a production for Illini fans. If it were titled "Illinois vs Indiana Highlights", you may have a case. Both teams deserve credit; Illinois couldn't have won had they not made important shots and made stops, but Indiana wouldn't have lost had they not choked the game away. Thanks for the congrats, and apologies for the undue crybaby comment.

We agree on the merits, that Illinois fouls a lot and gets called on it. I was just sarcastically replying to a homer video production titled "Highlights" which only shows the Illini making some baskets and an incidental Oladipo block on his one turnover play. But unquestionably Indiana choked and gave a way a game it should not have. Nonetheless, like I said, congrats (on the comeback, win, the final play, etcetera). No crybabying here -- I know when the Hoosiers are terrible.

LOL at all the Hoosier fans saying that the Illini got lucky. You had a double digit lead, and you blew it, plus Zeller and/or Oladipo blew the defense on that last play. You lost fair and square, crybabies.

You sound a bit sour. But I guess if the refs were 100% of the reason Indiana lost then I can't blame you. I have to ask though. Now I understand how the refs gave the ball to Illinois and away from Indiana, but I'm still confused how they managed to put 74 points up for Illinois. Did they actually score them or just tell the scorer to add them on the board. Either way I can't blame you for being so angry, you have every right to be.
