This was my first month with a subscription so I wasnt able to skip but now that I have the book in hand I'm glad I couldn't, I'm actually very interested in reading it. I think I might opt for book only in the future though, I'm not sure I really need the extra stuff.

I totally understand, the items are so hit and miss. I love having the surprise and see it as a bonus when I love an item 😊 I’d do whatever feels right for you. Hope you enjoy the book when you read it 🥰

I love how you casually mention the 16 books of "the invisible life of addie la rue". It was the book that got me back into reading and it's definitely one of my favorites. I skipped both boxes from FL (adult) and IC this month because the themes didn't really appeal to me, but also because both books are the beginning of series. Most of FL recent adult books have been book 1 in series and I really don't like it. I don't want to pay +40eur for a book that is probably going to end on a cliffhanger. I'll probably cancel my FL subscription for 2024, so I'll continue to live through other people's unboxings lol

Haha I love it! (The problem with OCD is that I get easily obsessed with things, and like to collect). I’m glad that you love it too 😊 I’m glad it’s not just me noticing that we’re getting a lot of first in a series books. I know it’s a common fantasy/sci fi thing to write series rather than stand alones, but we’ve had a lot recently. Ehh I like the TBR jar but the rest seemed a little uninspired. A really interesting sci-fi book with time travel and we get a calendar to end the year lol. Loved your video though!🥰

Thank you so much for your kind comment 🙏🏻😊 I agree, the tea towel was a bit of a let down; but I appreciate that they try to do a variety of items and have to balance more expensive high quality items with cheaper lower quality items. The TBR jar makes up for it to me 🥰

Other than the book and the calendar, the items felt very...lackluster to me, especially when compared to recent boxes. I'm guessing it has something to do with how fast they shipped these out (so they could arrive before Christmas). I'm hoping the items will be better in January's box.

Yes I absolutely agree. I also think they have to balance boxes that they spend more money on with ones that cost them less to produce. Fingers crossed for a good January box 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
