Feeling so unreal I've lost sight of all I knew I need sunny days with you I feel what it's coming to It's a holiday Times that we've had before When I'm not really sure With you I need nothing more Oh, isadora Oh, isadora You're still there. When I'm close to you You make the world go away Words we don't need say Spoken as in a play If I said goodbye You know we could never be Because I could never see You far away from me. Oh, isadora Oh, isadora You're still there. Isadora, all the seasons fall Isadora, all the seasons fall Seasons fall, seasons fall. Oh, isadora Oh, isadora You're still there. This was released 3 years before I was born. I absolutely love the harmonies and the way they build at the end is just magic! I feel like this incarnation of the band had a darker, more powerful quality. Annie has an incredible voice, but I feel like the compositions in Renaissance leave little breathing space, and most of their songs don't really need orchestration. Both bands are rare treasures in their own way.

Oh, oh, oh, I haven't heard this song since it came out in the 70's. What a trip back in the wayback machine. Thanks for uploading. It, along with Trower's Long Misty Day, stand as lovely, watery, misty memories from those rough teen years when only music could make it good. Thank you, thank you.

I did not know this band. Unfortunately, in Brazil, certain things just appeared, thanks to the Internet. I think after listening to bands like Premiata Forneri Marconi, Clube da Esquina and the beautiful song like this, I think I need not be awarded anything in life. Yes... now, i know: I´m a lucky man.

There is a complicated history between the groups; Illusion and Renaissance, both sharing Jane Relf; Keith Relf's Sister. There is a collection of Jane Relf's work that addresses the confusion. There is a very early version of "Carpet of the Sun" which I first heard with Renaissance featuring Annie Haslam. Evidently, Jane Relf made the first pass. I'm not familiar enough with the whole story to comment further, I'll leave that to a more versed fan. I think both vocalists fine; I personally find Jane's a more emotionally expressive voice-Annie a bit more technically refined. BOTH are treasures.

To me the new Renaissance is technically ok but lacks a lot in emotional terms compared to the classic one

They also re-recorded Face of Yesterday, which in my opinion, is 100 times better than the original one, with Renascence and it had achieved the status of the perfect song, for me.

Che spettacolo che darebbero ,che emozioni ci farebbero provare con il classico repertorio RENAISSANCE e magari anche qualcosa di inedito perché no ???!!! Friend, Since the Original Lead Singer was Keith Relf of The Yardbirds & w/Co-Lead Vocalist being his own Sister- Jane Relf, both in the band that was the original Classical Rock Band 'Renaissance' after The Yardbirds as a 4 piece broke up w/Jimmy Page forming Led Zeppelin, Chris Dreja pursuing a career in Photography (the 1st Led Zeppelin LP's back cover,eg) & Keith Relf & Jim McCarty eventually creating Renaissance w/Keith & Jane Relf singing those Leads & Harmonies w/Jim McCarty-Y'birds' Drummer- adding backing vocals & playing Drums (after they'd been in a very short lived outfit called Together, we're lucky Jim could have a good Singing Voice as a Person not just a Drummer. It's a long story, the Post-Yardbirds one & from the Renaissance break up w/Keith Relf going on to Armageddon w/the Bassist in Renaissance (Louis Cennamo- who was in a kind of on/off obscurity after The Herd, Renaissance> Armageddon> Illusion {&\or } Colosseum. In 2007 I asked Jim McCarty if he was in touch with Louis & he said "I have no idea where he is." There's a good Interview of recent years on Ytube w/Louis & he's supposedly 78 & in London. relationships w/in The Original Renaissance fragmented >into 'Armageddon' (Keith & Louis, et al -tired of being poor- decided to form a Hard Progressive Rock band 'Armageddon' in the early/mid-70s & doing long, Experimental passages not unlike Led Zepellin but not a copy) or 'Shoot'- Jim McCarty's next venture was not as well received & as a Pop/Rock band among the many others-they fell on deaf ears as mediocre to Critics & faded quietly away. I'm proud to own Shoot's Lp Autographed by Jim; he looked at me sort of quizzically when I presented it to him regarding a Signature along w/the other LPs in '05 I think during a Y'birds' Reunion Tour w/Chris Dreja that was a great time in Nor-Cal. After Armageddon & Shoot they were all in for a Renaissance Reunion. This was the plan when Keith Relf was found on the floor electrified after supposedly jumping from a shower & picking up his Guitar that was still plugged in & On. His Son found him. Illusion came 'Out of the Mist' as the other Members took on the Great Guitarist John Knightsbridge (British Lions,et al) & Eddie McNeill took over as Drummer for Illusion named after the 2nd Renaissance LP- 'Illusion' which as above benefitted from Jim McCarty's Songwriting skills in helping the new 'group'of British Folk/Classical Rock enthusiasts. A very generous Soul as most people would've just walked away or sought monetary gain for the name. Re the Reunion, as the (2nd) 'Renaissance' was doing well & established as that band- 'Illusion' seemed a perfect name & 'Out of the Mist', 'Madonna Blue' & later a nice package of sought-after Demos & more 'Enchanted Caress' was released preceding the Release of the Reformed 'Renaissance> Illusion' made a New CD of Songs released in 2001. Before & after that release, Jim McCarty never really slowed down having a very nice group of Songs based around the Seasons called 'Stairway'. It was originally only available on cassette tape from Jim McCarty or his Service & had Jane Relf Singing possibly w/ other personnel involved from the previous adventures. He's put out a variety of CDs/LPs on many labels: a Blues-Rock series 'Pretty Things-Yardbird Blues Band (w/Larry Taylor of Canned Heat fame, Dick & Phil of Pretty Things/Jim McCarty- the Yardbird in the Group/Title. Demon Edsel released at least two groups of Songs; I'm not sure if other members came in or out at various times before- after the BOX OF FROGS' 2 CDs w/ALL Yardbirds except for Clapton but w/many of their own contemporaries joining on the CDs. McCarty, Dreja, Paul Samwell-Smith, BECK, Jimmy Page, Rory Gallagher, Ian Dury, Max Middleton, etc were very happy to be in touch w/their own 'British Blues-Rock' Compatriots. I'm tired. Jim McCarty's still releasing New Music. Only Relf & Beck have passed away as far as I know. Jimm Page
