Your inventiveness, precision in design and presentation and frequent offerings are a delight. The one thing that surprised me is that the striped border wasn’t cut so that the stripes were exactly parallel to the body of the quilt. That would bother me no end and I enjoyed it that it didn’t bother you. The inspiration fabric appeared to be very precise in presentation. The paper piecing without sewing through the paper strategy was remarkable. Tearing away the paper soured me on paper piecing the first time I tried it many a year ago. Thank you for sharing this idea!

I’ve seen a similar demonstration using freezer paper, which negates the need for a glue stick. I believe is was by Theresa Down Under. Either method seems much preferable to the more typical “sew through the paper” method.

Oh my goodness Laura ! This is by far the easiest way I've EVER been taught paper piecing or in this case not paper piecing! I'll be using this technique over and over again. Paper Piecing has always been so intimidating. I LOVE this in so many ways! Thank you soooo much. :)

Thank you for sharing your quilt pattern, however I notice a couple of things in the pdf instructions: I think perhaps the blue fabrics need to be three-quarter-yard cuts or one yard to be safe, and the C/D layouts in your diagram are not located correctly. I might be wrong, but FYI in case I'm not.

This is just the freezer paper method, and you just iron instead of glue, and you can reuse it until it doesn’t stick anymore.
