what brush setup do you use for your Illustrator lines?

Hi, that is a great question 🙌 For this illustration, I used a brush set from Envato Elements called Midcentury. You can see it at 7:22 in the video. I use the pen tool to create the lines I want and convert the stroke to the brush. I hope that helps! 😊

Can I just make it all in Procreate and then image trace

Great question! In my experience, the image trace function in Illustrator can make the file really large if you have a complex design. It also creates a lot of anchor points that can make the design look a little bit less nice and harder to edit. You would also just have one layer so if you want to update a colour for example after you get some client feedback, that can be quite time consuming. You can still do it but you might want to play around and see if you like the results. Lots of illustrators only use Procreate so if you prefer working in Procreate over Illustrator (I do honestly), you can just make sure you have a big enough artboard and 300 dpi when you set up your Procreate file and use this to send to your client. No need to use Illustrator at all. If you want to create a vector file that can scale to any size, I suggest going with Illustrator from the beginning. You can sketch in Procreate if that feels more comfortable and import the sketch and use it as a reference. I hope this helps! @@Kayla-app I see your point but for the colour I think using the live paint tool won’t be that hard to make adjustments to the colour. But other ways thank you for your response and your videos are full of very very useful information and they are very joyful videos as well!
