@@MrDingdong979 Yeah it seems like a bit of conspirasy on Ilmango's side, not beeng completely honest on his workflow. In his defense, he doesn't do this consistantly. Not only that, gnembon said that his simple slime farm will get you 30 thousand slime balls per hour... my first thought was, I'm glad if I can craft 1 or 2 Sticky pistons... what would I need 30 thousand or more slime balls for? The same with Iron Farms or Wood Farms or Cobble Generators, I don't need that many items. Gold Farms, nah, Ice farms, nah... I mean these things are impressive, but on a single player survival why the fuck would I need so many items that it's silly...

@boggless2771

And that doesnt seem to hard to implement either. You can make a shulker box dispenser that breaks after 4 game ticks, and read the output from a comparator. Then if the the shulker was empty, the comparator is off, and you can use that signal to turn off a hopper that is timed to take out that shulker box. Then you can also add a non stackable item detector to make sure the item is a shulkerbox. It makes it much more idiot proof.

When you spend 5 hours designing a vertical furnace array with 64 furnaces that would fit in a 7x7 tower last night and then ilmango shows you up drastically lmao
@livedandletdie
@livedandletdie 5 жыл бұрын
I mean, I usually fit a lot more than 64 furnaces in anything, 64 8*8 So I make a room that's 8*8 make floor walls and ceiling into furnaces now look except for entrance, I got 382 furnaces. They're not in a furnace array, they are most definitely not fueled, and they are pretty much unused. I mean if I wanted to make a furnace array, it would be for complicated smelting recipes that would take several stages of smelting, but since this is minecraft and not something complicated like Factorio, I don't really see a need for it. Hence why I play minecraft casually... in my endless labyrinths beneath the surface.

Hey! You can sort out empty shulkers before they get to the dispenser. If there's a single input for shulker boxes, then the empties aren't a big deal at all since you can just pull them out right there. Individual inputs per module would be a lot. Perhaps a button or a timer to lock each module after inputting so that shulkers with new items go to the next module. Awesome stuff, tho. Love the solution for filling the hoppercart perfectly. By button, I mean maybe send an item to a hopper or dropper to tell the system to bypass the module in use. When the job has finished, pull the item out and send it back. Obviously, you can reuse the shulker boxes for the output. Can even have different routes for filled shulkers, partial shulkers, and empty shulkers that come back because of partial boxes being input. Part of the storage system on your patreon server checks the fullness of input boxes to determine if they should be sent to a loader, bulk storage, or back to where empty boxes go since they'd break it. Its the cyan circuit, I think, if you want to check it out. Cyan and pink, maybe, because the "contents or no contents?" and "full or not full?" are separate functions. iirc, its pretty dumb actually. On second thought, don't look at it. I'm 9k% certain I can make a better one.

If you want to have support for empty shulker boxes I'd recommend using Pallapalla's shulker unloader, which can be easily modified to unload shulkers via a hopper minecart. Also would be a bit more compact & the emptied shulkers won't get into the item output just the same as the one your using now. :)

18:18 Couldn’t you detect an empty Shulker Box by taking a pulse off of the Shulker Box dispenser and put it though a repeater and send it to the piston that breaks the Shulker, to detect if the Shulker was empty just take a signal off the comparator, and then lock the repeater off if there is a signal, that way if the comparator has a signal it blocks the signal from the dispenser from breaking the Shulker since it has items.

LPKelner Its primarily a concession to lag and compactness. Empty box detection isn't necessarily complicated, but when you scale up (like a 1,000 furnace array), having an extra hopper in addition to more redstone components makes the whole thing significantly laggier, and expands the vertical size. "Don't put in an empty shulker box" is like the cardinal rule of Minecraft storage systems, so I don't see it being an issue for them.

How about using a piston bolt to transport your input items to all the furnace? Faster transport means more furnace’s, means more item and longer clock. 😁

I don't get why exactly we aren't just putting the lowermost minecart on a detector rail? We're already using a sloped rail to send it off anyways, we might as well just make that a detector rail and see if it has the right amount of items, right?
