For building stuff without litematica you can just have a second minecraft instance open in singleplayer on a second screen/virtual desktop, so u don't have to disconnect and always load the singleplayer world... I can also recommend to build the farm in survival chunk-aligned in the same way as in creative so you can check via the chunk coordinates whether you placed everything correctly

Don’t stereotype
@jaxblonk5127
@jaxblonk5127 3 жыл бұрын
@@theexcaliburone5933 it would be more accurate to say don't prejudice people based upon stereotypes, since a statistical or stereotypical person does not exist, and so simply treat an individual as an individual- this way of thinking allows one peace of mind in making jokes about stereotypes since it is a trope- a concept that stems from misunderstandings or cliche interpretations of cultures which are not reflective whilst simultaneously not letting it color your perceptions of cultures. Why do this in the first place? Well if someone is making a joke about their own culture, not being serious about it just trying to lighten the mood- which tends to be the dispositions of a great many cultural groups- then you're just going to feel uncomfortable and wind up straining social ties with those around you. Granted, if it is clear that the individuals in question actually believe these tropes it would absolutely be delusional, like thinking the actions of a wrestling heel were anything more than theatrics, only vastly more problematic as a result of the real world consequences. In that case, yeah, I'll light the torches, you get the pitchforks? Apologies for such an essay on an already old post. Hope things are goin well for ya oer yonder parts, eh?

it's a stupid change really, they could have just kept it the same as normal squid but with light level change, that would have made sense, then all you had to do was light up the squid farm and not for the glow squid and axolotl. I just came up with a design myself in the end, not super efficient but it works okay enough. I just used flowing water to flush them into a Wither Rose pit. And Drowned on the walls to get rid of the Axolotl's quicker.

I have a double skeleton spawner best my base (right next to quad cave spider spawner). That has been more than enough for me so far. Still, it will be nice not having to craft bonemeal all the time. If only Mojang would add some autocrafting. Even if it's only compacting and decompressing and not any more complicated crafts, that would already help a lot.

I made a fish farm from JC Playz and I have more bonemeal than I will ever use now; three double chests full of bone blocks. That’s like...well, 27 double chests of bonemeal. That was just from afk every night for about a week. I am still selling the fish to villagers, got way too many of those, but it was worth it for the lifetime supply of bonemeal. That’s the great thing about a really good mob farm; build it once and use it whenever you want it, but the good ones will supply you with all the loot you need right away. I mostly play in peaceful so a skeleton farm wasn’t a good option for me but that fish farm fixed EVERYTHING.

That is the most elegant killing and collection system I have ever seen for any farm ever in Minecraft. Every single block has such an important role, the spikes are used to kill, scaffolding to hold them, allow mine cart hoppers to move through and be suspended by their extension property, the honey blocks to stick to the mine cart hoppers, move them through the scaffolding and being one pixel smaller than a normal block to allow for hoppers to unload their contents. Simple complexity.
@sepiasmith5065
@sepiasmith5065 2 жыл бұрын
Wow I love how all the traits of the blocks came together in a cool way -- honey blocks aren't full blocks so they can transfer items to a hopper below, AND they carry entities with them, scaffolding has a solid top but no lower collision, honey blocks don't break them, and they don't stick! such a perfect storm

For the moss, I know it's late but you could item sort carpets and seeds, compost them and put them into the hopper under the composter, filling it up so that it can't take items from above. Failing that, a comparator on that lower hopper into a torch to stop the hopper feeding the composter would make sure the seed and carpet line would have priority

I never used lightmatica, but everytime I design something in a creative world, no matter if Redstone or decoration on buildings, I just screenshot the hell out of it and open the screenshots on the second monitor to rebuild the design. That’s Litematica. He’s mentioned wanting to make a tutorial for it, but he’s not gotten around to it yet. He also uses miniHUD (not often, only when tracking player speed or other stats), twrakaroo (to place blocks with an offset/facing any direction), and carpet as well (It’s how they used the cactus to flip the sticky pistons when building the amethyst farm, and track the mob cap).

Why didn't the trapdoors work for the dripstone-based item collection system? You'd obviously have to place obsidian or something non-movable at either end, to prevent the honey blocks from picking up them, but is there some other reason why they wouldn't work? Are the minecarts too tall to fit under them?

The honey blocks still stick to the trapdoors, so placing obsidian at the ends just means the piston can’t push the honey blocks.

@@MrAwawe Yeah, it really seems like the honey should be able to just slide right by the trapdoors. That’s just Minecraft for you I guess

Given the hopper's height, other than needing to supply it with more bonemeal to get it started, wouldn't it be better to make it so that everything goes past the item storage first, and ALL the overflow gets composted then fed back along a hopper line to the dispenser? You could even add bonemeal storage so that it would eventually provide you with shulkers full of bonebeal as it runs.
