Wow this is a Goldmine. I forgot this too was another Dick Clark Show that he did whose Sole Sponsor was Beechnut Gum. The year before Dick Clark did the First Integrated Concert in 1959 with Sam Cooke as the headliner.

My grandad used to listen this song quite a lot...I was still wearing diapers i suppose when i first hear it. I'm 45 now...what a great song, so simple, elegant and up beat...just a wonder for the ears. Almost everybody says "those were the days of good music"; but what better time than this very period when we can travel this far back in time and enjoy this gems (Edit) Note: Jimmy's voice...oh man...His registry is of the charts!. And he goes from his regular tone to falsetto and back like it's monday...I have an HQ MP3 of this track and the sound of it, specially at the end...yo can hear all the little things happening sound wise. No effects, whatsoever...it's quite something

When you consider these gum chewing kids were in Woodstock ten years later, and then investing in Wall Street ten years after that. What a ride!
@grandspringdale15642 жыл бұрын
Wrong.... In 1960 these kids was the youngest members of the silent generation. They never served in Veitnam or attended Woodstock. It was the oldest boomers that was little kids during this time period that would go on to do all of that. I know that because the silent generation was my grandparents and my mom was the last of the boomers to be born then us angry, slacker, nihilistic gen X'rs started being born👍
