Andor looked great but was effin expensive. For the action sequences and aliens that ashoka did. Don't get me wrong, andor is my fave too but ashoka had way more on it's plate and handled it really great. The acolyte has also really great visuals. The sets are andor level 😍

Weird timing that these”behind the scenes” videos are being released right as I started rewatching Ahsoka this week! The show really feels like full feature movie quality IMO. I know all of these Star Wars shows coming out mean different things for different people, but as a 50 year old who grew up with this universe, the stuff Dave is making feels the most accurate. Really excellent work to all that contributed to the series and looking forward to Season 2!

I've been following ILM's work for a long, long time. Because of the visuals you guys provide, I don't think any iteration of Stars Wars (cannon, or lore) would feel quite as intrinsic. It's the one thing that gives it that familiarity. Thank you.

The reflecting off of the armor can give them ideas for lighting too. That's probably why that's there. That's also why they use chrome balls on sticks on some sets

@AngeloBarovierSD3 ай бұрын
Sadly rare. We’ve forgotten the Jurassic Park paradigm where that communication and collaboration is consistent throughout the process, from early planning to final passes. For whatever reason, the Hollywood pipeline has put so much distance between the practical and digital creatives, that VFX post work can feel separated from principal photography. I think there may be a renaissance of the more collaborative process which clearly and demonstrably works best and, if so, that’s a great thing for filmmakers and audiences alike.

Please please please. Make shows that are more then 6 or 8 episodes. Stargate SG1 had 11 seasons about 22 episodes each of amazing content. It allowed the seasons to breath and they re-used sets and had bottle episodes. Picard Season 3 was also amazing. Bottle episodes keep costs down but you can still have a good story and character development. 6 to 8 episodes does not give enough time. Everything feels rushed. I'm probably talking to sand dunes at this point but if you want more people to be satisfied with the content make it longer. No more 15 min episodes. If you do that then make every show animated instead.

Why aren't the Purrgil color purple? In Rebels, when the Purgil were low on energy and fuel because of the mining facility nearby, the Purrgil were grey and lifeless. But when they finally got a taste of that sweet sweet Clouzon-36 compound again, they suddenly tuned back to life and instantly hyper-jumping left and right. But why in Ahsoka, they were able to hyper-jump but still looked grey?

Dave Filoni is the true successor to George Lucas for taking Star Wars forward. Disney should relinquish any and all control to something soooo beloved as Star Wars and just let Dave take things forward, plan things. Btw, Ahsoka was a damn fine, DAMN FINE Star Wars show. Had a great old school Star Wars feel about it. Can't wait for S2. Just wish Ahsoka would have been done before the sequel trilogy as they could have used some story aspects from this series and carried ideas over.

I thought the rendition of the "space whales" was actually pretty piss poor. Look at the still of this video, people standing in 20ft of fog, and you can barely see the furthest figure. These things are supposedly MILES long in cloud, yet there is no atmospheric occlusion. Saturation, detail and contrast should decrease, you shouldn't even be able to see the end of them. All their fins with sharp alpha edges? Come on guys, you know the rules. This is shite.

@@vivisects-and-regicide gave zero explanation and just ignored my space whale point, what a great argument. Also zombies have been part of Star Wars for decades as well
@vivisects-and-regicideАй бұрын
@@omarbaba9892 Wow, a KZbin polemicist... Alright, let’s talk about space whales and zombies in the Star Wars universe. These concepts are not creatively justified within the context of Star Wars. Zombies in Star Wars are no different than zombies in Marvel comics-they’re just a lazy attempt to capitalize on the success of "The Walking Dead." Only the least creative people (hacks, executives, and directors with creative control) would see the popularity of zombies and decide to shoehorn them into Star Wars as a way to boost its appeal. It’s a blatant and belated attempt to jump on the zombie bandwagon. Does Star Wars need zombies to be good? Especially when the only reason they’re included is that someone can’t come up with something genuinely new and interesting? If Ezra’s ship transformed into Optimus Prime and shouted "Cowabunga, dude!" would you be okay with that? As for the argument that "space whales are great because the galaxy far, far away already has giant asteroid slugs"... I disagree, obviously. Large, menacing, and frightening creatures should exist in the Star Wars universe, but they should be intriguing and not overused. A space whale is 1) a clichéd trope and 2) something you’d expect to find on a poster in a 1970s basement. My point is that Star Wars can and should be bold, taking every opportunity to knock our socks off, whether visually or through the twists and turns of a great, unforgettable story. It doesn’t need gimmicks or clichés.
@omarbaba9892Ай бұрын
@@vivisects-and-regicide when tf did I say that Star Wars would not be good without them. What I’m saying is that they fit within the lore and don’t break anything. They’re hardly overused at all so I’ve got no clue what you’re on about there given this is only the third time they’ve ever appeared and their natural hyperspace use is very creative. And for zombies, oh yeah yeah banking off the walking dead when that show is dead and Star Wars zombies have been fan favourites for decades with things like knights of the old republic and especially the death troopers novel. And nightsisters first appeared in the 90s along with their different use of the force which we see in the show. And for the zombies it wasn’t like they just threw it in without reason no it was specifically these characters who we know can do this and have seen them do it before Your arguments are nonsensical and ridiculous
