The rebrand doesn't bother me too much, but what a boring font! There's ways to modernize without just bold, sans serif lettering. The cursive script on the cap is cute, and way more interesting and distinctive. I think it fits ILNP as a brand way more. It's playful and light, while still being modern and classy.

I prefer the old logo! It's more upscale and matches the elegance of their polishes. The new one seems loud, although I didn't know about the lid logo and honestly think that would have been really cute on the bottle instead of the bold black font!

I love ILNP: This collection not so much. Just not my pallet. The rebranding? Eh. I liked it ‘classy’ and am definitely not in the mood for ‘modern’. As always, your reviews are so interesting and thoughtful. Thank you.

I'm a huge ILNP fan and bought this whole collection. First, I'll say that I was wearing white polish when it arrived and I put one thin coat of the blue shade, rainshower, over the white. It was gorgeous as a topper! I encourage you to try again with lighter bases. Second, I put on all colors as a skittle today and I have to agree- in a few spots it was pretty patchy and I put too much polish on to cover that and ended up with clumped up spots on my nails. But I still love how ethereal and ephemeral it looks. Last, I wasn't the biggest fan of the new logo at first but it has really grown on me! Seeing it on the bottle, I think it's really cute.

I bought the whole collection because I love ethereal colors and that’s what they felt like to me. I don’t have a lot of that in my collection. I haven’t received them yet but I feel like the problem might be solved with a “nude” layer base coat. Something like Holo Taco’s smoothing base or Polished for Days’ blurring base coat. I’ll try it once I get the polishes in the mail and see how that works.

@candaceSargent Any updates on how the polishes worked out for you with a smoothing base coat or nude? There's three I find very pretty the pink ones and the purple but I have longer nails than Kellis' so I'm concerned.

I bought the collection and swatched it on swatch sticks. It's still rather sheer in 3 coats on those. I always use HT's Smoothing base, and when I used these over that, I really didn't have an issue with them being too translucent. I think they're beautiful. The iridescent shimmer is different in each one, and I love wearing them.

@@liketopaintmynails I found that using either HT smoothing base or the blurring base worked well and I didn’t see any nail line. I also have pretty long nails (3x length of Kelli at least) fwiw.

I love the new logo! The heart is so cute! I’m not sure why it’s getting so much hate. Honestly, who cares how the bottle looks as long as their formula stays the same. It’s about what’s on the inside 😂😂😂

I got four of the colors, and while doing 3-4 layers doesn't bother me, I can totally understand why it would turn some people off. But Harper is so gorgeous, I did a full manicure of it as soon as I got my order and it's stunning! The shift in the shimmer is really beautiful, the photos and videos don't quite do it justice. I don't love how blocky the new logo is, but I do like the little heart and really love the cap change too.

That makes sense. The base colors are too Easter egg pastel for me, but when I have a spendy specialty polish that goes on kinda patchy, I try to find a solid match and then put the specialty over them as a topper.

Kelli- I have a video suggestion please. Could you do a "Polish terms 101"- type video? Going over polish terms and showing comparisons would be so helpful. Jelly vs cream vs Crelly or shimmer vs glitter vs flakes vs iridescent etc. Some of the common terms that are used to discribe polish I don't understand sometimes.

At the end of the day, I don't really care about the logo/font. Because it's not just the ILNP font that's hard to read; I find OPI and China Glaze are equally hard to read when you have a dark polish, because they also use black font. While it wouldn't be a dealbreaker, I do personally prefer the old logo. It was so classy and elegant, and the new one seems a bit... teenage-ish? Not that that's bad, but that font reminds me of Claire's. 😂

Personally, I am conflicted about the rebrand. I like that the logo on the bottle is more legible, but I highly dislike the font that was chosen. I love the new font on the cap & feel that it embodies that essences of ILNP more than the bold block text of the bottle. I also dislike the disconnect between the 2 fonts. I think a slightly bolder version of the cap font would have been lovely for the bottle. As for the collection itself, it's a pass for me. I have long nails with wonky nail lines, so I highly dislike having visible nail line. So while I think the colors & effects are pretty, the end result is not my cup of tea.

The new logos are so much better. I agree you couldn't really ready it on the bottle, especially with dark colors. I love this one. I'm getting it because my granddaughter has been corrupted by me. She sees perfect strangers and says "Oh I like your polish." She's 3. She loves doing her nails. So I always buy colors appropriate for her. And these are perfect. Plus I think if you got a color similar to the base color you may be able to wear these over the top and get the effect without the patchiness. Love them. Thank you.

My two issues with ILNP is that they apply a bit thick and the color is NEVER EVER the same in person as it is online. After two orders, I've decided I'll stick to my other preferred brands.

ILNP is one of my favorite brands, but I didn't have much of an opinion on the rebrand until you mentioned the legibility of the label, and I realized you are so right! The old ones are difficult to read. And I didn't get this collection because although I think they are beautiful, they are just too light and soft for me. They would end up being display pieces. 😄

Ya'know, I kind of like the look over black. It's patchy yes but it feels like space. When you see clusters in the sky, that type of look. Add some white dots and stars, easy nail art. That's just me tho. The new branding will have to grow on me since I liked the fancy font. But ah well, it happens. Quality review as always Kelly 💗✨

I REALLY like the new fonts! I experience the same aggravation in finding the label for storing in my polish cabinets. This is the 1st time in a while that I ccould buy the whole collection! I love ALL of them! ILNP is a polish I never have to fret over wasting money on. It's so affordable, the colours are great and if they aren't EXACTLY what I was expecting, I FRANKENSTEIN them because they play well with others! I really do appreciate the heads up on the patchiness. But, like you as well, I still intend on enjoying them. Great review!!! I HAVE TO add: you're lip colour is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!

I was definitely hoping you'd review this collection as soon as I saw it, so I'm super glad that you did! They all look so stunning, but I would think that because I'm very partial to crellies, pastels, and anything with iridescents in them. I was worried about the opacity, so I'm not shocked that they're patchy in some spots - also agree with your opinion about wanting better overall coverage even if it ends up being more sheer, over a thicker formula. LOVE their new logo. I think it gives them more personality. They've always been a little on the whimsical side in terms of their polishes, so I think the new logo fits them much better. I honestly wouldn't be mad if they even used that cute cursive style that's on the handle and used that for the bottle logo - keep the same thick stroke, keep the little heart, etc. Super cute. The previous logo felt really bland and basic imo. Also Kelli - your hair is always so cute. I love the teal in it, and love the way the natural brown crosses over to the side and overlaps with the teal. C:

I also agree with you. It’s hard to find the logo on the old bottles lol. I line all of mine up in my helmers with the logo facing forward. I love having different bottle shapes or logos from brands as they evolve. It’s super fun to pull out an old bottle from a brand that no one else but the OG’s have.

Again, awesome swatches! ILNP is another favorite brand of mine. I'm actually wearing a few colors right now to celebrate 4th of July. My only problem is I wish they had a more rounded, fuller brush. Kinda like Zoya and some of my fave indie brands have. I realize a lot of ppl like the original brushes but for me I find it easier to use the flat, rounded ones. Just wish it was an option to purchase ones that fit their bottles...😊

I got Harper and Open Skies, and I love them both. I'm used to three or four thin coats with ILNP, so applying them wasn't a problem. The reason I didn't buy First Light was because I wasn't sure if it would be patchy or not. However, Harper and Open Skies are both gorgeous, and I'll probably be wearing them a lot. I too love contrasting shimmers and flakies. ...I understand the change to a new logo, but I still prefer the old one. I'm glad they didn't change the shape of the bottle, so my collection still looks somewhat cohesive. ...Thank you for the awesome swatches and your always valuable opinion. 💗 (Edit: I should have just bought the whole collection because I know I'm getting First Light and Rainshower also. Agree with you Kelli! My #1 gripe with ILNP is the bottle is hard to read, which makes it harder to display and differentiate from similarly shaped bottles. Thanks for the honest review!

I have purchased so much ILNP and I really dislike the new font. I don't know. I must be too old for their market. The old one was classic and elegant. I think the new one looks like a kids brand and cheapens the brand. Not a fan. 😂 Just my own opinion! Don't come at me. I'm sure the polish is great as always.

Just got my two favorites from this set today! Rainshower and Open Skies both great names! It is interesting that I picked these two because one is a blue base with a pinkish sheen and the other is a pink base with a blue sheen. It was funny because when I went to put on a second coat, I had to turn my lamp off so I knew which one was which! Beautiful! Thank you for the review. I like the new logo and packaging also!

You'll end up with a lot quickly and still have a wish list. Ask me how I know 🤣. They are absolutely amazing polishes though and I feel like you definitely get what you pay for. They do a 25% off black Friday sale, and if you aren't buying on the website you should because you get rewards points for free polish. Look into Eclipse or Grand Entrance. Eclipse is multichrome and Grand Entrance is essentially a metallic version. I don't typically gravitate towards colors like that, but it's absolutely STUNNING and completely worth buying. Just so unique and gorgeous. Also Candlelight is pretty amazing. Electric carnival and Ferris Wheel are two new faves that are really shifty and cool looking... They remove easily with acetone. I've been wearing the flakes over metallic silver holo and gray holo and they look pretty incredible.

I’m a bit torn on the rebrand. I definitely like the new cap better, it’s very cute. For the actual bottle I feel like they could’ve still kept a classier image while improving the style and font, instead of shifting quite so hard into the modern, almost “tween” feel. Like it kind of reminds me of the Delia’s store logo, obviously not the same font or anything, but still.

I feel like this was meant to be a very delicate, more on the sheer side, kind of collection. Like a wash of subtle sparkles over the nails. You could always wear a base polish if you want a solid look. I don't know why, they are just super satisfying colors. Thanks for the review!!!

With the rebrand, I think that the legibility issue is just because the spacing between the letters was so huge. They could quite easily have just moved them closer together which would have upped the ability to read it without having to go for a different font. I don't yet have any ILNP so it doesn't bother me from a how the collection looks with other polishes. The kind of rebrands I'm less keen on is when they totally change the bottle so they don't store well together. I'm all for fun and interesting bottle shapes until I try to store them away in my nail polish box. At which point I wish they were all just the same sized square bottles for all brands! Its one of the reasons I've never bothered to try Essie because I don't like how differently shaped their bottles are from one collection to the next. Like I get why they do it, but for storage its useful to have more uniformity of shape.

Ugh, I hated the Cirque rebrand and I hate this one too. Why does indie need to be boring like mainstream packaging? Anyway, I hope they'll keep being an amazing brand. I do hope the brush handles changed because my old ones got sticky.

Rainshower reminds me of a polish I had as a child called Moonstone, only fancier. If I could find that in a gel, I'd literally throw my money at it. 🤣 Edited to add: I dress mostly in vintage style clothing, ranging from 1900-inspired to 1950s/60s. I do value comfort though, so a great portion of my closet is cotton and linen because I can't regulate my own body temperature very well, and I only wear polyester when it's fairly chilly outside. Which is never for very long here in Texas.

It's kinda meh that ILNP would name a pink sheer with flakies in it "fairy floss" when Cirque Colors did a sheer pink with flakies already with the same name. imo.

Its just another name for candyfloss and it is about that shade of pink so to me it doesn't matter if multiple brands use the same name. Like there are going to be tons which just call a red polish "red". If it was a more unique phrase it would potentially be more of an issue, but they're not trademarking the polish names most of the time.

Pretty and really pretty color story. I love and appreciate ILNP regardless of if I actually buy the color. But definitely doesn't feel like my vibe. I want to get the metallic brights set and the remaining multichrome flakes. Only got into the flakes during the retired polish sale and omg, so pretty. Wish I'd bought more of them now ☹️.

The new font on the cap alone makes the rebrand worth it! But three coats is an unforgivable sin. Maybe I'll get that peach one and just wear it over an opaque polish. And OMG the comfort factor of dresses is ABSURD. How is everyone not wearing dresses every chance they get? They make them in all shapes lengths and fabrics, AND you don't have to wear pants! It's the best possible world! I'm a fashionista for sure but my personal style is kind of flashy (like a goth boho Victorian), so I tone it down for work a lot.

They are so beautiful, not sure about the application as you have said over and over.😉. Several Cirque jellies/sheers would definitely work. New logo is much easier to see. I love the 🖤and the cap logo. I was on the fence about it when we first looked at it on patreon but I think I have come around. I agree the bottle being the same is more important. As if the bottle shape is all that important to anyone that doesn't collect. 🤣

I love the concept of the new collection, but I know the formula is going to drive me nuts. The end result of ILNP polishes is usually great if you have time for 3 to 4 layers to dry, I don’t have that kind of time. I had to move on to Cirque and Starily. I still love my ILNP, when I have the time to dedicate to letting them dry. I like the old branding, as it was a classic look, and I like the rebrand because it’s more youthful. As long as they keep the soft touch cap, bottle, brush, and their awesome packaging, I’m happy. ILNP does some of the best shipping packaging I’ve seen, it always feels like getting a special gift, I love that!

Can you say patchy??? I love the colors but 3-4 coats is labor intensive! I like the new lettering both on the bottle and the cap. I’m so happy the kept the bottle square! The square bottles are so much easier to store!

I like the rebrand, the whimsical bottle top font is cute. The bold letters with the little heart at the end is modern, cute and very legible. I love ILNP polishes but this collection is not of interest to me as I typically go for darker colors. Love your reviews and nail art!💜💚

I bought these too and agree they would be more exciting if they were a little thinner and more opaque formulas. Very beautiful colors though. I like the new logo better too, I just wish it had a little more character to it than an unaltered bold sans punctuated with a superscripted heart. Seems a bit of a missed opportunity. But at least it’s more legible as you said. 😉

These seem too patchy for me but I usually do enjoy their formula. I have some of the super old heart logo bottles too! I like the new logo and bottle. I don’t think a brand should be expected to stay the same forever and the overall design is still similar to the old one.

I have like 30 bottles of ilnp. This series doesnt excite me, but I think they usually are 100% on point. The rebrand doesn't bother me, but I like the old ones with the heart on the bottom :)

I may be the only one thinking this, but whenever I see a little heart of that size on the right hand side it immediately makes me think of the old Live Love Polish bottles. They always had a little heart that would be either: pink, silver, gold, champagne, black, rose gold etc, depending on which polish/collection it was.

I think the rebrand is cute with the little heart. I don't love the font on the bottle, it's kind of boring, but the little heart helps. I love the cap design. I'm glad they kept the bottle shape too. Maybe it's a fluke with these polishes, but it seems like they're changing their formula as well since it's so different from what we usually see from them. I like that they're making their polishes a little thicker, but I'm kind of sad that they decided to go with this formula because it's so patchy looking. Maybe it will be better with their next launch, I really hope so because if the next one looks like this I won't be buying from them again. Good or bad, please please please review the next collection they release because I really want to know how the formula is going to turn out for the next one. Just asking you to do the review good or bad because I know you don't usually like to leave bad reviews because you feel it's a waste of your time with filming and you don't like to be negative. I appreciate that a lot about you, but I just gotta know about this new formula. Thanks Kelli for another wonderful video! (Also lol I just noticed at the end of your video you said "I'm curious to hear what everybody else's style is" twice. I know you usually shoot things multiple times but I think you accidentally left that in. 😆 Possible glitch cuz it didn't really look like a reshoot, it look like the same part of filming in there twice.)

When you said, "too beautiful to give up on" I felt that. I was so disappointed, especially when you placed it over black. I thought it was going to get saved, but no. Lol. My style I'd fashionable but comfortable. I'm a teacher so I usually buy clothes that I can wear to work and can be dressed down if needed. If I need something for a more dressy then I have some dresses. But for around the house or such I'm wearing anime, 90's band t shirts and leggings/sweatpants

I might have been tempted by a couple of these…two or three months ago! I don’t get why ILNP is always so far behind other brands with seasonal releases. I’m over pastels at this point and am thinking about brighter, summer colors. I love ILNP, but i buy collections a year or two after they come out because the actual releases seem so late. Interesting comment on the rebrand because while the new bottle font is easier to read, it is definitely NOT whimsical (the cap change is ok). I think the new bottle font looks masculine and kind of clunky.

I've noticed the "late" releases compared to other brands, too. I wonder if ILNP does that on purpose so as not to get lost in all the new collections. I also keep a wishlist of shades I want from this brand, then place my order during the Black Friday sale.

Personally, I dislike the new logo. I think for a brand that I think of as delicate, classy, stunning, and sometimes whimsical it comes off...robotic? I don't really know how best to describe it but it feels clumsy and bulky. That said I like the script on the cap. I think the fact that they paired it with this collection also may be altering my judgement as the iridescence in these polishes, with the exception of Harper and Open Skies, they feel like not a good match for the base color and then the color of the shimmer. They make my eyes feel like they're vibrating, the same way a red font on a green background messes with your eyes.

Personally I’d try these over white polish or polishes with similar undertones instead of black, just because they ARE on the crelly side. If that still takes away from the iridescence or looks weird, I’d pass on this 😕 I find so many of their polishes pretty in the bottle, but the lack of opacity has been a turnoff with their price point. With two young kids, I don’t have time to wait for three coats of nail polish to dry while still needing base and top coat 😫

I find that I have to use 3 coats for most of the ILNP polishes I have, but the coverage in 3 is always good and builds well. The only one I need 2 coats on is Christmas Cookie. (I will say I only have ten ILNP polishes)

I made my first ILNP order last week. My bottles still have the older logo because I think the two I ordered are from a 2021 collection. I think the new logo appears easier to read as someone with poor vision.
