iLO5: Virtual NIC feature

The virtual NIC allows you to access the iLO from the operating system. This feature is limited to iLO5 only and can be enabled as of firmware version 1.40 and later.

Respectfully, this feature should be given more thought, as it has several issues and negative security connotations

The video clearly stated that the virtual NIC is a private connection between iLO5 and the host operating system with no routes to the outside world, and is also purely optional so the user should validate its use depending on the environment as everything else. Can you point out the issues and negative security connotations?
