The Austronesian languages form one of the world’s largest language families, considering the number of languages included and the number of geographic locations in which they are spoken. The Austronesian languages are spoken in most of the Indonesian archipelago: the Philippines, Madagascar, the island groups of the Central and South Pacific, Malaysia and in many parts of Vietnam, Cambodia, and Taiwan.
The Austronesian family comprises some 1,200 languages which cover half of the globe. Similarities in their vocabularies suggest that they descended from one common ancestor language proto-Austronesian (proto-AN).
If you are interested to see your native language/dialect be featured here.
Submit your recordings to otipeps24@gmail.com.
Looking forward to hearing from you!

@@FatKat911 Our national language is literally Malay & the native people are orang Laut (they’re malay). Chinese may be the majority but the origin of Singapore is still Malay. Malay Singaporeans are native to the region & we’re Austronesian. At same time, languages is based on ethnic culture. As long the native people speaks the language and still living in that country, the more it should be included. If you’re not Malay or from the region, you have no say to tell why we shouldn’t be included.

Andy, Palau language is kinda similar to the Micronesians hence there are 2 Micronesian languages spoken in Palau.

Nonetheless, linguists don't consider Palauan as Micronesian because the people of Palau directly came from Philippines. It makes its own branch.

@anonymousanonymous4465 Linguistics have nothing to do with culture. Indeed, Palau shares more in common with Micronesia in terms of culture; but Palauan language, along with Chamorro, directly came from the Philippines, instead of passing by Sulawesi. It also forms its own branch because it has a very different morphology from Micronesian. *d > r *p > u *l > i *n > l etc...

@@dubstepXpower i mean the word "spread"... @Nagin-zt6sc Well Asian's shoulder NOT make videos at all about the South Pacific. Because in the Pacific 🌴 everyone is included. Melanesia Polynesia and Micronesia is what makes the Pacific. I also noticed it and don't like it because Asian's have nothing to do with Oceania they don't understand our culture and they have the nerve to make videos about culture and people that they know nothing of
