I especially love the words in Lithuanian that at first glance don't really look similar to the words in Polish meaning the same thing, but have some logic behind them that's tangible to me as a Polish speaker once I learn their meaning. For example the word "ruduo" meaning "autumn". In Polish it's "jesień", but "ruduo" makes perfect sense, 'cause it's very similar to the word "rudo", which is an adverb meaning "ginger" (as a colour, not a spice), or maybe the more fitting word here would be "russet"... which is the general, stereotipical colour of the landscape in autumn. "Mėnulis" is also a fun word, 'cause it - again - doesn't look like our word for "moon", which is "księżyc", maybe slightly closer to "miesiąc", which is an outdated word for moon, which currently means "month", BUT it's super easy to associate it with the werb "mienić się", meaning "to glitter", so in my mind the word for moon in Lithuanian sounds kinda like "the one that glitters" or sth like that. There's also the verb "žiūri" (that's 3rd person plural indicative I think), which technically looks nothing like Polish "patrzeć" (to look/stare), BUT a more archaic verb meaning the same thing in Polish, now used mostly by older people, not everywhere and mostly in a mocking manner would be "ziorać". There's the verb "mirti", meaning "to die", which may not look so similar at first glance, but shares the same stem, Polish just adds the prefix "u" to mark a change of state (from alive to dead) I think, making it "umierać"

Extraordinarily, despite a separation of centuries from when the India Aryan languages broke away from each other, and thousands of miles, I, as a speaker of an Indo European family language from northern India can clearly understand the numbers, and even some words from the text. Like at 1:25 it seems to me the Lithuanian word for status “padetis” is cognate to Sanskrit and Hindi ”Pad”, which means “status”, or “position” or “rank”. Status itself also has a cognate, with the word “stithi”, which means “situation”.
