I’m a at holiday campground right this very second and I caught a 3 foot fish a little while ago I love it here it’s just such a great place and I got sun burnt

My wife is from Panacea. We own a single wide mobile home down there as our get away and fishing and beaching place throughout the summer months. It’s an absolutely beautiful little place.

You are camping in my backyard! So much to do and see in our area including St. Mark's National Wildlife Refuge with historic lighthouse; Wakulla Springs State Park; canoeing on the Wakulla River; San Marcos de Apalachee National Historic Site in St. Marks. Hamaknockers BBQ is yummy and just up the road. Also Tropical Trader Restaurant (just across the street and owned by the same family who own Angelos Restaurant) has the best shrimp topped fried green tomatoes and shrimp n grits! Thanks for highlighting this area in your vlog. It is some kind of special!

Thanks Rebecca. That’s awesome! This was a different trip this go round. Without a bunch of details, we needed some downtime. Guess what? Panacea and Ochlockonee Bay was the perfect escape. We are chilling out for a few weeks and it has been so much better that expected. Dinner at Angelo’s (big time splurge!), throughly enjoyed Tropical Trader and dinning with the locals at Porter Island seafood was a treat. Shell Point Beach was special. Just wish I brought the bike. Next time I’ll hit the trails.

Well Jerry I love your solar lights so much I build myself a set. Only mine do not have a straight cut on any of the 4x4’s. The hole I drilled is 1 inch and the lamp shaft is 7/8”. I went for the really rustic look. Not really I am just not a very good DIYer. But you know what they look great and I love them. Thanks for the idea.

You just keep impressing me, I had an uncle that lived on Levy Bay right down the road from that campground, fished out of Rock Landing Marina, shopped at Crums, and hung out at Gulf Specimen company many days, ended up in my teenage years a month every year. Excellent fishing!!

Nice to see you in Florida and thanks for sharing site details. Did you visit the Red Pirate Family Grill and oyster bar, just west of you? Best seafood restaurant in that region. FYI, Other great place we stay nearby to there is Presnell's RV resort on ST. Joe bay facing into to sunset, just gorgeous We'reoff to East Bank COE next weekend. Happy Camping.

We stayed in Holiday Campground back in January for a week. Loved it! We pulled our picnic table to the rear also. Really enjoyed our stay there and the sunsets were absolutely stunning. We were in a great waterfront spot across from the pool by the pull thru spots. Would definitely stay there again. Resident guy there can help you back in too if you have issues with the tight squeeze.

The area across the bridge is not Alligator Point, not sure what that is area is called. Although past the bridge there is a pull off area and it would be a beautiful spot to get some photo along the water. Alligator Point is very close to Panacea but kinda juts out into the ocean. There are actually really nice public (no restrooms) beaches at Alligator point. Sometimes the water will even be a clearish brown lol Anyone staying in Panacea should check it out. FYI it is the forgotten coast. Florida native - traveled all over Florida and is my favorite place. I was watching your video to see which spot I want to reserve for a week next year. St George Island has a wonderful beach (free aquarium there), Panacea has a great aquarium, downtown Apalachicola and St Marks Lighthouse all great spots.

Hi Steve and thanks. Glad you found us from New Zealand. No issues with these. They are a moderate priced monitor. Had these for 3 years. One item not shown in the video is a small 8 inch block of wood with a thin rubber pad glued to the top and bottom. While traveling, this slides under the edge of the two monitors to keep from bouncing around.

We've been trying to find a place nearby (we're a little over 3 hours away) that we could spend a week with the grandsons. After watching your video, we booked a week for July. Very reasonable rates for full hookups.
