The majesty of Milan...I think maybe the only thing more beautiful than the Cathedral is the videographer recording it. My only critique...when filming a locale with such ornate detail, pan a little slower. I am still in awe ! very well done

Thanks for sharing your experience. My daughter is planning abroad program in Milan this summer. Initially I thought we will go a month trip before she starts school. But I realize that the visa process, and she has to summit the all booking records for the hotels we travel which I am sure yet. .... is it good idea to travel before she stars school or bad? I am a little bit stress out to plan because the flight tickets are getting expensive. I heard the visa interview is going to be just before three month she leaves to Milan. When did u purchase the flight ticket? Thanks a lot. :)

The Smart Living of Chunny really great questions!! I think it’s to totally reasonable to travel before school starts! Several of my friends had their parents go abroad with them the week before school started and hopped around Europe before moving to London. Because I only stayed in Europe for 4 months, I was not required to complete a visa interview, so I can’t cover info about that process. But the sooner you can get plane tix, the better! I bought my plane tix at the end of May to fly out in August, and I got them for under $700! Will you be traveling with her or is she wanting to travel before she gets there? I will say that studying abroad is supposed to be an enriching experience, and one of those things that I gained from it was a feeling of independence. My mom traveled with me at the end of my program, and I was incredibly nervous and scared flying by myself for the first time to London. Even though I was vulnerable, I pin it as one of the defining moments of my growth. At the end of my semester I had grown so much and felt like an independent woman who didn’t need to rely entirely on my parents for me to find that growth. I’m sure I would have grown regardless if I traveled with my mom before starting my program, but I think my homesickness would have been worse if I started travel with her instead of after. With that being said, make sure everyone who would be traveling that it is okay with your daughter. If you’re traveling with her because she might be afraid, that’s totally okay too! But recognize that studying abroad is about letting go and letting culture change your worldview. Hope all goes well, and I’m so happy your daughter gets to have this experience!

Hello Alexis - Is Milian worth it? I get mixed reviews. We are heading to Italy for a month so I was just wondering.

I thought it was very worth it for several reasons! From my channel you can see that I went to several other cities in Italy, including Verona, Pisa, Rome, Vatican City, and Venice. I can confidently say that when I visited Milan for three days, I was truly able to see and do everything I wanted, which I couldn't in the other cities that I had spent the same amount of time in! I didn't get to see the Last Supper mural because of a limited budget, but Milan was actually my favorite Italian city I visited! I currently live in London, so Milan felt like a sigh of relief with how chill it felt compared to bustling London life. When I visited it was relatively in a low-tourism period, which may have been why it didn't feel so crowded. I absolutely loved it and would recommend it to anyone!

Also, try to take a day trip to see Lake Garda! It's fairly close to Milan, and if you're into mountains, it would totally fit the list!

I love the modern cities and I think that is the vibe I was getting on youtube. Milan is more modern and that is fine with me. What was the nightlife like?
