For all the nay sayers, you see Alessio and Jessie have shown how interesting and beautiful Milan is. I kid you not people, we have been going to Milan for almost 2 decades and we still have things we want to see and do but haven’t done or seen. Eataly and catch a football(soccer) match at San Siro stadium. Thank you guys for taking me through one of my favorite cities in Italy. Yes it is the financial capital of Italy but it has so many interesting things to see and do.

Indeed. I was quite surprised how nice it all looked. I expected a sprawling industrialized mess, but the parts that are beatiful, really are something. But you really see that this is a city where the big money was made in the past.

In reality, Milan is far superior in history and culture to all other European capitals. The problem is that in Italy there are: Rome, Florence, Venice, Verona, Palermo, Padua... etc. Example: the Arch of Peace has the same history as the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. But the Arc de Triomphe is a national monument for France.

Really enjoyed visiting Milan in 2019 on day trip. My Milanese work friend took me on tour. We went to *$, it was housed in historic building. Milan's first centralized post office with beautiful marble architecture. Work friend says bldg was retired and empty for a while before *$ came in to use it. Espresso and farro salad brunch was tasty. Pal introduced me to panzerotti, a typical Milanese lunch item. Milan is definitely a return trip city. Our day trip was not long enough. My wife and I were just in Milan for the first time back in March (just for a few days on either end of our visit from the States to Bologna). It was definitely a gorgeous city! Our hotel was directly across the street from the Castello Sforzesco and it was so nice to visit the Duomo, the Galleria, and, of course, have the yummy food (my personal fave was the Cotoletta alla Milanese we had there our first night). Definitely hope to visit again sometime!

Shhhh - the Italians think of cotoletto as menu turistico and look down their noses at it. Similar story with osso bucco 😊
@NicoleM_radiantbaby3 ай бұрын
@@roger_melly5025 Well, I don't think there's anything wrong with being a tourist sometimes. I mean, everyone is a tourist SOMEWHERE (unless you never leave your home country, of course). Besides, it was a dish I'd had several times outside Italy, so I wanted to try it in Milano, it's namesake. I'm also happy to try other foods in Italy as well (in fact, in Bologna, I had all sorts of local foods). It's not the only thing that I ate. No need to 'food shame', as it's no big deal, really. Let people eat what they want. 🤷

Jessi looks so charmante and European in that cool, off the shoulder dress! The central bank of Italy building is impressive-- it holds gold instead of Euros. The coffees you ordered at Starbucks sound delicious. I stopped going, as the business supports israel. Buon appetito
