im going to regret this

So it's been a very long time since I actually did any work to the Disco, and I dont think ive ever done any maintenance or servicing. So when I said I'll take the Disco on a three day rally around Scotland, maybe it was a bad idea, and idea I may come to regret.
Well anyways lets get fixing the disco as right now it is DEFFO not going to make a 3 day rally around Scotland.. in fact, will it ever?

Not bad for a first proper go Lee, just some advice for next time. For longevity, cut out the rust first! It’ll keep eating away otherwise 👌🏼 I loved the old road videos, don’t sell it and make some more! Perfect time of the year for them

top tip i learned when i was starting to weld is preheat the material you are welding to

Decent weld especially arc it never looks clean on arc but remember… angle grind and paint makes me the welder I ain’t 😉

Course it can look clean with an arc welder it’s just about the correct prep amperage and technique

Id recommend replacing the oil filter housing gasket and the o ring in the feed lines both really common leaks

You fitted the rear steering arm the wrong way round, it had grooves in the other side for the damper bracket to go in 😂🙈

The bar with the steering damper you put it on the wrong way round it has groves in it for that bracket

That rear steering arm..you got 2 little slots where those u bolts go..also stops the bracket sliding mate...from the video the slots are towards the drivers side wheel..they should be closer to the passenger side mate...

The back bar has 2 ribbed bits isn't it the wrong way round so it does open up the threads for dampener plate clamps
