Life changing for me. I don't think anything has stuck with me as long as this story. The music, setting, vibe, and Max as a character is no one special. She's just an average anxious girl, through her powers begins to discover herself, becoming more social, brave, and taking more risks. There are so many themes in this game that resonate with me, I'm curious what you all think.

I understand Hollow removed most of the soundtrack due to copyright issues but other youtubers have the soundtrack in place and their videos are still existing today. The soundtrack in this game is one of the best in any video game, especially the song "Spanish Sahara" is so fitting to the ending scene. Having removed the music in the Junkyard Rachael scene also removed some of the emotion. Apart from that, I really loved watching this playthrough.

Before the Storm is a prequel and takes place 3 years before the original game. even though chronologically it’s first, BTS is recommended to play afterwards. “Farewell” is another bonus prequel episode and takes place 5 years before the original game, and it’s the day Max leaves for Seattle and William dies, it can be played before or after BTS, it doesn’t really matter. but the way i always recommend people watching/playing the whole series is Life is Strange 1 -> Farewell -> Before the Storm. it makes for an easy, more emotional transition through the games. hope this helped !! :)

In the timeline where chloe is going to die when she is paralyzed, you hear of a storm coming for arcadia bay. The whales being dead in that timeline also signified something going wrong, even if chloe was going to die. It goes deeper than fate in this game so i think Max was given her powers for a reason, by something stronger than fate

I'm not sure if it's really Chloe's "destiny" to die. It's not like Final Destination or Russian Doll. The reason she keeps dying is because she behaves recklessly, which comes from being suicidal. (Suicidal people don't necessarily immediately try to commit suicide, they can just tend to put themselves into dangerous situations.) This is shown more clearly in Before The Storm. It is reasonable to think that if you choose to save Chloe, she can start to heal psychologically and be less reckless and impulsive.

the thing about time travel is the answers aren't always that clear ; lets start with an example :you had a very important test which you failed , you are sad and thinking what to do and you remember that you' are a genius so you decide to build a time machine to go back in time and do the test again and since you already know the questions you pass with with flying colors ,well now everything seem great and there is no problem at all but wait; if you passed the exam with full marks than there is no reason for you to build a time machine to travel back in time ,and if you don't you will fail miserably ,and if you fail you build the time machine and so forth!! that's a paradox which the solution that suggested for ,is parallel universes, parallel versions of reality that co exist the game show you this reality's multiple time a reality where William is alive ;a reality which you won the everyday heroes photography contest but the game don't let you stay in those reality's until the last chapter of the game which we end up in a reality of a big tornado swallowing arcadia bay; some might think that what we choose in the end of the game is whether we save Chloe or arcadia bay? but it actually ask would you like to stay here or would you use your rewind power's to see another reality ? no matter what we choose here the tornado will happen(whether we are in that reality or not) because the moment we first traveled in time we initiated it ,so i think staying is the right choice and it also fits Max evolution as a character ; since the beginning of the game Max always had a problem of being afraid to make a decision ,should i enter the contest ,should i visit my best freind Chloe ,what should i say if i visited ,... so she get's the power of rewind which fit her character perfectly if she make's a bad decision she can rewind and make the right choice; but we see in the game each time we reverse time again ,and again we still aren't satisfied with the result , in each time we leave a reality; we face a worse reality which that lead us to the end of the game which we face with the same question again would you want to save arcadia bay?(which is impossible, because what happened happened and by choosing this you don't erase this reality you only leave it ) this choice mean that you run away again like you always did or chose to save Chloe( which mean's you stay in the reality which the tornado happens instead of running away) , i think this fits more and it's reinforced by the scene that plays afterward: Chloe "tells Max it's time" which Max reply to with "not anymore" and rip the photograph deciding not to rewind again , and to face the consequences of her action's instead of running like always. and the story writers of the game have wrote this ending first and the other choice, save arcadia bay originally would lead to Hospital Ending which Chloe end up in the hospital ,and no one knows if she makes it or not.

I’m kind of glad you picked that ending. Most people would not pick that ending in gameplays I’ve seen throughout the years but to me it feels like the true ending to the story. It’s simultaneously the true and bad ending. The other one felt more relief but emptier in a sense because some scenes afterwards you feel really bad after seeing the aftermath and you kind of screw over the good people who were in the town and diner which didn’t sit right with me.
