I’m starting to pick up vinyls but find it frustrating when I get home and there are flaws which I missed like scatches. Do you listen to all the vinyls you buy before you sell them?

Hey i dont listen to them no but i only list records with no issues unless its an expensive record when i will listen to it and mention any issues as i will sell an expensive record with issues

I'm almost certain that Madonna record would've been manually flagged. I've sold a few Madonna items, one of which was a bootleg live CD. Someone messaged me to tell me it was a bootleg and they were gonna report it! Had a few other weird messages from her "fans" too. Similar when I've sold Micheal Jackson stuff too, some real weirdos out there 😂

Why would they be hellbent on that... I've sold some bootlegs in the past, I remember eBay removing 1 or 2 in the past.. where would you sell as even discogs won't sell some unofficial bootleg items

Technically an interview picture disc is not a bootleg. It’s not copyrighted material. If anything it’s the pictures used that are own by photographers

Baktabak label by chance .I brought a load of them off magpie on EBay .I got told off for selling Smashing Pumpkins interview CD on Ebay Was annoying because I brought on EBay so weird so when did it become a bootleg

It's not that easy mate, Madonna or the Pet Shop Boys legal team or record labels may have reported it, whatever you do don't put it back on they will shut you down. It happened to me some years back took Me 2 months to get get my account back.

i would love to have a record shop, but im in brighton and its £1000s a month just for a little shop. i have to hunt for records, when they bring you records do you just pay them set price for each record each time?

Most of the time i will pay a price for the full collection good and bad the less bad the more i pay. I would say more often then not i go with £2 a record and that's a lot more than others sometimes i have to pay more if the customer wants more (but the collection is worth it) Sometimes i get stuff completely free. Having a shop is much more difficult than it seems everything has to be perfect in order for it to work (rent/bills/footfall)

Funnily enough I sold a few old CDs late last year, admittedly one was a bootleg, it was flagged and I received a warning, fair enough, but then one elapsed 30 days, was then relisted, flagged and I got a 3 day ban! I had no idea that one was a bootleg, it had a record label and looked pretty legit. eBay had little sympathy.

I recently had a cd removed as fake by ebay, they supplied their source for verifying media, I pointed out that the CD had x3 different designs and was even on the artists own website but they wouldn't have it, I pointed out that a few have sold in last 90 days and there were 3 vinyl 1 cassette and 1 other cd for sale so why pick on me, again they wouldn't have it.

After years on eBay selling I sold an object not realising it was a copy fake and eBay closed my account straight away no way to complain or reopen my account be careful they won’t explain anything

Will copy and paste the information i have found because i cannot for the life of me find it myself. On Ebay it came up in big like a promotion so i followed the instructions and done it. (if i do find it ill message you) Automate your offers Once you’ve sent an offer to your interested buyers, the auto-send feature gives you the option to send the same offer to interested buyers in the future. We’ll automatically check for new interested buyers every 48 hours from when you first send the offer until the listings end or you cancel the auto-send option. The automatic offer will use the same discount that you set up in the original offer. You’ll find the option to “automatically send offers” in offer settings. You can control these offers in the Offer Settings tab of the Manage offers page.
