V loves jazz, and R & B, and listens to it all the time, especially old stuff. He has that smooth voice and you can find playlists of his songs to get mellow and dreamy. He was the sixth one to put out his own album, but did a little teaser, called Le Jazz d' V. I was so excited that I knew the 2nd song called Cheek to Cheek, which was sung by Fred Astaire in 1937. Since then all the great singers have covered it, like Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Lady Gaga, Tony Bennett, etc etc etc.

Yes! You get it! I can't really watch reactors who are not that bright or don't pay attention, because BTS is so nuanced, and their art is so layered and complex. It's frustrating to watch people just completely miss all the layers or not care, or not get excited because they don't see the genius in the art. So I am always excited when someone intelligent and with an eye for details starts to fall down the BTS rabbit hole. I look forward to your journey with BTS. You are going to have so much fun. I would love to hear more of your thoughts on things also. Remember that almost nothing they do is by accident and their depth is crazy. Their MVs are complex storytelling. Their choreography is complex storytelling. Their lyrics are layered and complex storytelling. Many songs have a surface meaning that can be taken away on casual listening, a deeper meaning that is related to the theme of the album, because all their albums are concept albums, another layer that tells a more personal story, and then sometimes also a yet deeper layer of storytelling that is related to the BU - The Bangtan Universe, which is their supernatural fictional storyline that runs through multiple albums and across years of time with clues hidden in MVs, short films, webtoons, books, album notes, their mobile game BTS World and more multi medias.

This is a critically acclaimed song by musical critics, artists alike. The song is about a lot of us wearing masks for so long that we don’t know anymore who we are, or when to take that mask off. V was only 19 yrs. old when he did this but was able to convey and interpret the essence of the song. Written by RM in 20 mins. after RM had a surgery. and he knew then that only V could ever sing and interpret this song. A classic indeed in a genre that V can express himself. That was the intro for BTS's album ''Love yourself: tear''. It's the second album of a trilogy. The first one is "love yourself: her" and it's a really poppy, "bright coloured" album that shows the feelings of someone in love, the second album is more dark and shows how someone may be stuck in a toxic relationship ending up losing his self in it, and the third album "love yourself:answer" shows that to be able to love someone you first must learn how to love yourself. I think that from this album "tear" you'll like their song ''Fake love''. Also how you were completely entranced by ''Sigularity'' was really funny, but unavoidable😂😂💜💜💜💜

I love all 7 of BTS eqally, but I do have a soft spot for this soulfull boy. Last year he had his debut album " Layover" full of that kind of vibes but more mature I would say. Also a lot of BTS group and solo songs seem at a first sight to be love songs, but they rarely are. More possible they are abt struggling with fame, being idol, staying true to themselves, fighting their demons. In general lyrically they are deep. Not that love song can't be deep , but it's good to hear them sing abt other common to many people things. Thank you for this reaction! And I highly reccomend reacting to basically all BTS live performances.

This thematically ties the album together -- which is why it's the comeback trailer. Another song/video that explores this concept is Fake Love, and is the whole group. The video is also part of the storyline, so some of the imagery might be confusing, but it is SO good.

Excellent reaction. I tend to think that V is one of the most ppular but most under-appreciated members of BTS. So I am grateful that you have played with Singularity a while. As you decided, quite correctly, it is not a love son. It is a song exploring one of Carl Jung's psychological concepts, in fact, the one whichlooks at the self and goes through a process to differenciate the self from ego and other masks, which incorporates elements of ourselves which we would rather not accept, but as part of this process, we come to accept ourselves and become whole. I think. I find it very confusing. Thire is actually an 'explanation video for this MV However, none of that subtracts anything for the marvellous music of this track! Honestly, this stuff is very common as we wander through the gardens that are BTS. Thank goodness. If there is another band anywhere that is in any way like them .... let us know.

I don’t know if anyone told you yet, but it’s labeled “come back trailer” because it’s like an introduction to the beginning of a new album. The intro sets the theme and tone for the rest of the album conceptually. BTS “Love Yourself” is an album trilogy that started with “Love Yourself: Her” then “Love Yourself: Tear” and lastly “Love Yourself: Answer” The trilogy expresses the concept of love in various ways and depicts the process of ultimately coming to love one’s self. Which is the only way to truly loving anyone else.

Also, their touring band, The Ghost Band, is great and BTS often does different remixes live with different instrumentation, different arrangements and instrumental solos etc. A fun way to react if you really want to deep dive is to do an MV (some people do a lyric video first before the MV if they find it hard to focus on the visual storytelling, choreography, music and lyrics all at once in the MVs) then a live performance, and then sometimes an explanation video for their more complex songs and MVs - all in one reaction. Subtitles are often not enough to really convey the message, as they lose the nuance and wordplay in translation and multiple meanings behind things or cultural context, particularly in the rap songs, and MVs visual storytelling can also be really complex and subtle too, so explanation videos are a great helper for translation and story clues. But if you don’t want to watch the explanation video, just know that this song is from the second album in BTS’ Love Yourself trilogy of albums. Love Yourself: Her (songs about falling in love) Love Yourself: Tear (songs about trying to change yourself to get that other person to like you, and how a relationship in which you can’t show your real self will inevitably fall apart) and Love Yourself: Answer: (songs about realizing that if you love yourself even with all your flaws you can begin to build genuine relationships with others). For me, the songs that V sings are very soothing, try listening to the song when you want to sleep, or you need relaxation. Love that you picked up on the masks and the "showing true self". A lot of masks and "hiding behind" references in this whole album. Fake Love explores this idea even more, also The Truth Untold. Love Yourself: Tear is considered one of their best albums!

Some people (me for example) do pay attention to the lyrics REGARDLESS of it "not" being a love song. They are so poetic imo. In a way it is kinda a love song, the love of yourself over the love (of any kind; romantic, platonic, familial) of someone else and the mask you sometimes (esp in unhealthy relationhips) have to wear to keep that love. I don't know who commented that, but that was an L take.

I showed my mom this MV and my mom calls Kim Taehyung aka BTS V or TaeTae the Barry White of South Korea. TaeTae loves R&B, Neo Soul and Jazz. I can listen to his buttery, honey, deep baritone voice all day. TaeTae has the widest range and if you get a chance checkout the live version of Stigma. You should definitely checkout his live for Singularity and one of my favorites is Brilliant Singularity Live Stage Mix. The way Brilliant transitions many compilations of BTS V aka TaeTae and amplifies the sound is so genius.
