Thank your Sir, your explanation is on point. Greatly appreciated.. I only have one question though. How does a synchronous motor maintain torque to the load if at ns=nr, no torque is established. Because the DC excitation given to the field coil is to produce stationary magnetic field nd also help with the pull up torque to lock nr to ns. I alway had problem understanding tht nd how would appreciate a good explanation like you just did with induction motor.

Hi, could you please explain why in some of the pictures of the rotor you showed the rotor bars has some angle respect to the rotor axis. Thanks

sir i want to ask...there are three phase than there should be at least three poles or the multiple of it to create a rotating magnetic field.....or not even a single pole can be obtained

In induction motor if stator has n(north pole) the rotor should form n(north pole )on the rotor exactly opposite to stator pole according to lenz law ,but both are opposite to other than cancel flux each other ,now how we get the torque ?
@pradeepyemula60157 жыл бұрын
N pole will send out magnetic flux lines, S pole would receive magnetic flux lines, so if N and S are close to each other, magnetic lines will easily flow from N to S, without canceling each other. If N and N are close to each other, then their magnetic fluxes oppose each other. Similarly, if S and S are close, then their fluxes also oppose each other. Hence the famous quote - "Like poles repel and unlike poles attract."

hi Pradeep, what i am asking here is..when supply given to stator rotating (N,S poles) field created in stator..this flux links rotor than we get finally N,S poles on rotor,,here N pole on rotor exactly opposite to rotor as per lenz's law ...than resultant flux zero so no torque exit on rotor...but we say. torque exit on rotor why? i hope my question now clear!

Rotor bar is short circuited then how to make no. Of pole in rotor
@pradeepyemula60156 жыл бұрын
there are no poles in the rotor of an induction motor. Only the stator has poles. Rotor does not have poles. That is why the rotor can slip. In a synchronous machine, both the rotor and stator have an equal number of poles which lock with each other. Hence the synchronous motor cannot slip. Synchronous machine can either run in synchronism or fall out of step.
