IELTS Life Skills is a test of Speaking and Listening and is available at CEFR Levels A1, A2 and B2. It is designed to meet the requirements of UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) for certain visa categories and other immigration purposes.

Test results are usually available within 7 days of your test.

IELTS Life Skills at CEFR Level A1 takes 16-18 minutes, IELTS Life Skills at CEFR Level A2 takes no more than 20 minutes and Level B1 is 22 minutes. There is no break between speaking and listening components as you will be assessed on both skills at the same time.

I took this test a month ago and passed. It was quite simple and it took about 10 to 13 days for the results to come.

I did not take any coaching classes. Just looked up some probable areas or type of questions they may ask. Just kept practicing by speaking for more than 3 minute or more on topics such as family, friends, food, hobbies, etc.
