I love the look of image transfers but hadn't found a way to do it that fits with how I like to create until I tried the InkAid process with Tranferiez solution. In this video, I'm sharing how to make a transfer, how to mix the Transferiez solution, what kind of inkjet printers work best with the transfer film, and more! If you're wondering what to print on your first transfer, I've got a free download of images for you- you can get it at bit.ly/3tgLzwm

Those “failures” and “mistakes” that we so harshly criticized ourselves about actually became true gifts as soon as you start saying O.O.P.S. Try saying Oops in an angry tone. It makes it even more silly!

Thanks so much for this and your other videos. I've worked with the original InkAid formula on fabric with good success. But it takes much longer than this process. It can also be a pain trying to put actual fabric through the printer without troubles. You're a wonderful instructor. THANK YOU!

This is amazing! I've known about, been fond of but hated doing transfers for years. This seems MUCH easier and also much quicker! Thanks for this video - will be checking out this product! Do you happen to know if it will work on raw or baked polymer clay?

Thanks for this clear and comprehensive video. Can the transfer sheets be used more than once? Do you need more of the transfer liquid on fabric because of absorption? I’m loving this idea.
@CarolynDube
@CarolynDube 2 жыл бұрын
You are correct Marjorie, on a more absorbent surface you do need to use more of Transferiez solution. Transfer sheets can only be used once.

This is so cool! 😁 It's interesting to note what 'too much' and 'too little' looks like so you can do it deliberately. 😊 I wish I'd known about all this stuff when I was doing my degree! 🙃

I noticed none of the transfers transferred completely. Would you get better results if you let it sit for a longer period, say 3 minutes?

You can do this much quicker with any image film such as Apollo. Print it on an ink jet printer then apply a clear gel medium on the surface you want to transfer to. Rub with a thumb carefully or spoon. then wait3-5 minutes. then slowly lift the film. Check Gary Reef's video for better instructions.

When printing on the InkAID transfer film do I need to change the setting for thickness or will it print ok using the default computer paper setting? Your video breaks down the process and makes it easy to follow. Thanks for sharing. I'm going to try this on fabric.
@CarolynDube
@CarolynDube 2 жыл бұрын
Glad it was helpful! When you do it on fabric it does make the fabric stiffer. As for printing the transfer film, it's like putting a transparency sheet through the printer Teresa. On my printer, I tell it to automatically detect what I'm printing on but every printer is a little different.
