Yes, at his wake. As I said the lyrics fitted him perfectly. Especially about dreaming of being a big star. He was in a band called the Swingers and wrote Counting the Beat. You should Google it - I bet you know it. I’ve gone to funerals with all sorts of music - if it fits the deceased it’s appropriate. My Grandmorher had Tiptoe through the Tulips by Tiny Tim. Hideous song but she loved it and everyone cracked up laughing as we left the crematorium. My Grandfather had Blondie Tide is High. He was just shy of 100. It had been his favourite song since it was released in the 1980s.

In 2017, in November, I was driving home, and this song played on the radio.. the following day .. I got sick, ended up being in ER, and admitted for 2 weeks. I was in ICU. The first time my son came to visit me and I asked him if I could watch the music video of " Thunder" ? He was so surprised to hear me.. I was half awake.. but I remember how much I loved that song.. ❤❤❤
