This was interesting to see how people react when they hear Dimash the very first time not with SOS but with Omir Oter. Very cool. Thx Joel.

We thank your guest for sitting and watching Dimash. This song is one of the most touching songs I heard from him. When I first heard it, I saw myself in the mirror then I cried. For me, the most important message is about giving the utmost value to the short time you have in this life so you will not live in your old age full of regrets. The title of the song means "LIFE IS SHORT." As Dimash said, when it is time for him to sit in the audience while watching others perform on stage, he does not want people to tell him that during his time on stage, he performed badly. It is a message to the younger ones that while you are young, do things as excellent as you can.

I don't think he was just referring to giving an excellent performance but always doing it with integrity and dignity "to be able to see others in the eyes." It's one of my favorite songs, it always leaves me thinking about so much.

Why would you show a song that is all about the lyrics to someone without showing them the lyrics? This song is about living your life with intent, of never giving up until you have achieved your dreams. All the glowing people in the MV are people that had a massive impact on the history of Kazakhstan. Dimash playing his older self echoing his statement that he wants to live his life in such a way that when it's time for him to leave the stage he can sit amongst the audience and look people in the eye without shame for things he may have done in the past. This is a deep, emotional piece and not one that can be clearly understood by people who deal with an industry where songs only become popular if you're singing about material possessions, drugs, profanity accompanied by an MV full of naked women. It's like throwing pearls before swine.

Ömir Oter means Life Passes. And the theater is the Astana Opera House, one of the top opera houses in the world. Great choice in a song. Definitely a sleeper song, but one of my favorites. There is a live version too from his digital show.

The title and meaning of the clip can be translated as “Ode to Life” The video symbolically shows people of different eras, ages, genders, classes. These are legendary personalities who have long been dead, but they left behind a great legacy, and ordinary young residents of modern Kazakhstan, who have yet to walk their path and reach new heights,”

The turning point of the video is the old man, whose face is not immediately visible. He walks through the empty hall, nostalgia can be read in his every movement, as if he had already been here before. At a key moment, the viewer understands that this is Dimash, but in old age. An adult man, wise with life experience, and a young guy full of energy and aspirations are one whole. The old man in the auditorium looks at his young self on stage, and his whole life flashes before his eyes. This moment personifies the artist’s quote that one day he will also sit in the auditorium as a simple spectator, and he should not be ashamed of the path he has taken in life. The final frame of the video brings viewers back

I am 61. I was hoping for the wise old age, but it's not coming, nor I see it for others. What I see is, life is a downhill after age 2. We just grow dumber and dumber.😅

@@szolanek . 😄I feel very sorry for you.😥Not all people grow old. Everyone has their own path, their wealth and their own achievements, merits and mistakes too. Dimash sang paying tribute to his roots and his national culture. And about what he would like in his old age he is proud of what he has done and that his ancestors would be proud of him, who also did a lot for the people and his family. I wish you excellent health, peace and goodness to you and your loved ones.🤲🙏

@@ProteoProterino I got you. While I was young, I had a great respect for aged people.....now I know them😅 What is with life is, you are at your best when you know nothing. Even now, when you enter a new environment, you are all perception. Or when we choose a vacation place by accident, we will have a great time. With expectations nope As we learn, we built walls around us, and our knowledge becomes a prison. I don't believe in wisdom anymore. They say, it is kindness. Hmm, could be.

No, this song is about life and how it goes so quickly and whether the way you live your life, will leave an impression on others, when you leave this earth. The people are not his family, they are different people who lived in ages past throughout Kazakh history. Maybe it might be an idea for you to listen to the song on your own on youtube with the subtiltles on after you have recorded your own reaction to it on youtube, then you can tell your guests what the song is about?

Hello! I always like your reactions to Dimash. Thank you so much! This time, although the song is beautiful to the Dears, or to someone that already know Dimash, I don't think it was the right choice to show his capabilities to someone who doesn't know him. Thats my opinion. It worths what it worths... Some Dears think the oposite as I saw in the comments below. Greetings from Portugal.

That thud was my jaw hitting the floor. Why? Was there ever--could there ever be a time when Dimash didn't fill a concert hall, when he sang that well? My mind cannot comprehend it. What I loved, however, was Dimash's acting. The final of him, in pain over whether the hall will be full this time, his worry--wow.

Great reaction to a song which is all about the passage of time and that we all only have a limited amount to achieve our aims in life. Hence looking at various people from Kazakhstan in the audience with the good and the great in society held in high regard. Please consider reacting to the "Live" version, as I think in some ways it's even more impressive.

One of the faces was Rassul Usmanov -he sings back up with Dimash and does theater and sings solo too. I’m wondering if one of the kids might be Yerlans young son ( Dimash’s sound guy ) and one of the girls might be Dimash’s sister . Obviously the older man in the audience was Dimash aged . Life does indeed pass quickly .

You are not right. It is Kazakh songs that are his calling card, they are his essence, his pain and his dreams. Everything else is a repertoire developed over the years. It’s just that Europeans and Americans sometimes don’t understand this, looking for something that is close to their perception of music!
