To quote Robert D Kaplan: "The Italian political theorist Gaetano Mosca noted in 'The Ruling Class'(1939) that universal peace is something to be feared, because it could come about "only if all the civilized world were to belong to a single social type, to a single religion, and if there were to be an end to disagreements as to which social betterment can be attained.... Even granting that such a world could be realized it does not seem to us a desirable sort of world." Of course, there is often nothing worse than war or violent death. But a truism that bears repeating is that peace, as a primary goal, is dangerous because it implies that you will sacrifice any principle for the sake of it. A long period of peace in an advanced technological society like ours could lead to great evils, and the ideal of a world permanently at peace and governed benignly by a global organization is not an optimistic view of the future but a dark one."

Well, bud. John Lennon’s father abandon him, too, as a baby. But, his dad forced John to go to New Zealand. So, his Aunt Mimi stole him behind Julia’s back. And she should’ve asked her sister to take John. But, she didn’t.
@ilovesteveclark60842 жыл бұрын
@@sabrinasimonyi5593 what was the deal with John's Mother? Didn't she abandon him too? It's no wonder he said he always had a cold attitude, and was shy towards people, but when he was in the Beatles he had to force himself to be nice. Then after he left the Beatles he had a revelation that now he was free, and he could write his feelings through lyrics, which he realized made him happy. When people responded to his songs, he said for the first time he thought it was okay to be himself and enjoy life like a normal person. I think after he had Sean, he saw what he missed out on with Julian. I think he didn't know how to love Julian because his own parents didn't show him love.

@@sabrinasimonyi5593 that is so true. I feel the same way. I can't imagine how painful it must've been for John. Honestly, I think that caused him to not bond with Julian. He didn't know how! He also didn't know how to be a father which was caused by his painful memories of his own father. The saddest thing is that when the Beatles broke up, he finally felt free and was able to "grow up" and look around and say there's a whole world out there and I want to start over. Of course, that's why he finally realized he needed to reach out to Julian and I think that if he hadn't been murdered they would've ended up being very close.

Ukraine's whole fight is to remain a sovereign, independent country. The song Imagine is not a song is a globalist-socialist anthem where he is dreaming of a world with NO independent countries, no borders, no possessions and no religion - because he and all globalist-socialist sympathizers are under the mistaken illusion that such a world would bring world peace. It won't happen all by itself. There are people working toward that right now, that state of enlightenment. Come join us! Spread love and kindness wherever you can. Not love as in sex but in real compassion for other people less fortunate and those who are suffering. I realize something. If John Lennon had never been murdered then he would've been 78 years old today. Think of many albums that would've been released had his life hadn't been cut short. I hope Chapman stays in prison until he dies.

Amen to this comment. I love it. We need to come together as a world to defeat this common enemy and all the scientists support their findings in getting a vaccine to fight this common virus. Then we can all say we’ve survived this pandemic.

Imagine if John was still alive, sadly we can only imagine... How many more unforgettable songs, he may have written. How many people from all all walks of life, he would of bought together just by his gift. To write such true beautiful music!! Only to be sung by himself who is most touching of all beings that ever was born and walked this earth... I always thought ''ELVIS' was king! But my perception on that great lie has changed forever since... Mister John Lennon R.I.P king! Your music will remain with all forever.

It's Sept 28, 2024 and I'm a PBS Special about John Lennon. They focused on this song called Imagine. That's what has allowed me the learning lesson. From this I can see that he was not like most or others.

John Lennon was such a beautiful person. Marred with absolutely horrific life events. He was taken away from his mother at a very young age and the year he finally reunited with her, she was ran over and killed by a car. John was 17. in 1976, just 4 years before John died, his dad Fred died of stomach cancer at 63, just 9 DAYS after Paul's dad had died. they were estranged for 17 years before they reconciled. I just can't imagine(excuse the pun) how his life went. I'm sure it was extremely melancholic at times, but without those times, I doubt he wou'dve been able to create such amazing, emotionally driven songs, with words so pristine and connecting. We will never have another John Lennon sadly, but if people will just take the time to remember him and his music, maybe just maybe, the world can get to a better place.

About 2 years ago, my grandfather and I were riding in the car, listening to music from my phone. We would go back and forth from a song I liked, to a song he liked. He told me "play Imagine by John Lennon". At the time, I had no idea who that was or that he was a part of the Beatles. I played the song, waiting for it to be over, so I could listen to one of my favorite songs. Now, this IS one of my favorite songs.

Dude, John Lennon is dumb. He is stupid. The lyrics of this music describes hell on Earth. If you don't realize this, you are dumb too. He starts this song saying "imagine there is no heaven"... - THIS IS SO WRONG IS SO MANY WAYS... - What about "Imagine there are no countries"??? My friend, if there are no countries, where are you going to scape when your government is pursuiting you??? - So, live your life in the materialist hell on Earth... This song describes the "evil triumph". You just don't realize that yet.
