Every year, I take a 15 hour overnight train ride to see my grandparents. The train is lovely, probably my favorite way to travel, but I always make a point to replay at least the beginning of Diabolical Box through the Molentary express because it just feels right:)

I’m A Tiny Tiger Yes! I feel exactly the same way. The songs today are good but they don’t feel as catchy I guess. The old Layton music felt more nostalgic as your were listening to it, maybe it was because all the songs had at least one instrument that was in another song. Sometimes the songs in today’s Layton games feel so disconnected from one another.

It's something about the prequels in general, they're missing that very particular charme the original trilogy had. Not only the music, but the art, the environments, the plot. Don't getvme wrong, they're great games, and I love them, but they went in very different direction since/after Last Spectre. The whole ancient civilization thing didn't do the series too much good. A bit of an overused aesthetic, while the old games had this quirky, steampunky, antique style.

The first part was amazing, and this is even better! All these memories flooding back from the games, makes me so happy. Professor Layton really needs a lot more credit, not many teens and young adults nowadays really know about this great game. It's something that should be experienced via playing.

Omg I love the Azran Legacy so much, it had quite a bit of just moving around and stuff, but I still thought it was amazing. The ending was super upsetting to me, too. :( Out of all of the games in the series I would say that The Miracle Mask is my favourite, I loved the idea behind all of the seemingly impossible miracles coming to life like people turning to stone and vanishing into thin air and stuff. It just made for an awesome mystery element in general! :) What did you think of Miracle Mask? ^-^

I was particularly pleased by the inclusion of the Scorpion casino theme, as it was definitely one of the standout themes that I would not expect to particularly notice, but that was really enjoyable. Level 5's games have a certain essence to them no other developer can grasp. The creator of these games, Hino, makes intricate characters, stories and develops even beyond that. The gameplay is unique, the music is astounding, and the story is always top notch. I'm disappointed with Inazuma Eleven Ares and Orion, but besides that I've only seen masterpieces coming from this company. They are so much more than any mainstream Nintendo game developer. They deserve more love than all those. Inazuma Eleven, Fantasy Life, and Layton. Those are true masterpieces. Yokai Watch had its fame and that makes me so happy, even if the games were directed at a younger audience. You can't deny the epicness of Level 5's main franchises, and even their less popular ones. Layton's soundtrack is above all other games I've played.

I wouldant say they ruined it but it was a disappointment because only proffesor Layton and luke (and emmy) should ever be the main characters in the series that is called PROFESSOR LAYTON not PROFESSOR KATRIELLE

@@sillycat103 I don't think that's the actual problem, I don't care about who the protagonist is, as long as the game is solid. My problem with Katrielle's game is that it's incredibly aimed at children, way more than the original series, and also the misteries were not that great and not extraordinary
