Best, most detailed tutorial I have ever viewed on the subject. Thank you.

👍🏻 The tutorial has obviously been around for a few years, I just discovered it today. After several unsuccessful attempts to manage a short "screen project" with the AE trackers, I researched alternatives with MOCHA: This didactically well-designed tutorial covers my project needs" exactly 100%, and I will train with AE-MOCHA immediately. Thank you very much for that! Liked and subscribed! ☕️👍🏻☕️

Once again an aww..woww..sme and great tutorial and for me its very helpful because the problem with your mocha AE tracking at point 17:10 to 17:48 is the same problem for me for a long time and finally you provided a solution.thanks.But the thing i wanna ask let suppose if there are 5 to 10 more perspective points and it jumped out after every 3 or 4 frames so how we can solve these multiple points in drop sheet.

Excellent tutorial, learned a lot. Question, at 21mins and 15 secs you somehow get the keyframes visible on the video, how did you do that?

Great tutorial! I tried tracking my tv screen once... problem there: The "surface tool" is a square and can not be "curved". So tracking a tv screen while walking around it and having a 24mm lense with some distortion... well you get the point. If you use the full version of mocha you can remove the distortion and stuff... but still... the "edges" of the screen will never be 100% straight. so the content you try insert will sometimes be slightly over the "edge".
@SurfacedStudio8 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately you will have to deal with lens distortion one way or another - the easiest (if you don't have the Pro version of Mocha) would be to correct the shot first, then do the tracking / screen insert and then re-distort the footage with the insert :)

Very nice tutorial. Thanks.. Please. Can you make a 3D solver tutorial ? (for set extention or 3d elements for example). If you check youtube, there is no serious and complete 3D solver turorial with mocha. Thanks again. nice job.

Im editing a short film and im resolution 1920x803 in PR then im using dynamic link to after effects. the problem is that when applying track date to solid, layer goes off screen. Im doing exact the same steps. do you think the dynamic link is cousing the problem?

when my TV leaves the area, the frame also gets smaller, although I have a fancy green tracking screen texture applied to the screen (done in 3D) 😭😭😭😭 It seems like it works for everyone but for me... I've sen a billion tutorials so far :((

Sounds like you have "Shrinking Surface Syndrome". It's not a real syndrome don't worry. There are a couple of fixes for this. Mocha is possibly getting confused by something that is happening on the edge of frame. The most common fix is to simply keyframe your shape as you're tracking. As the image goes offscreen, animate the shape to only be over the area that is still on-screen. You shouldn't animate every frame. Just rough animation will be fine. Another little trick is to turn the Minimum % of Pixels parameter down. It seems counter instinctual but can help in this situation. If you're still having trouble, please join us on the forums and if you can, show a screengrab of the shot that's causing problems : forum.borisfx.com/

I followed all steps, but on 7:42 in the video, when switching tot Mocha, Mocha does'nt copy the frame range. It keeps 0 - 0. After this the result is that I cant move the time line in Mocha. Please help.

Likewise, I'm only just getting into Mocha - there's a lot to it, but you can also do a lot of great things with it (once you understand how)
