It's good you made this review! I've had my BL50 for just over a month now (I ordered it on the same day it became available on Imalent website) and hardly any reviewers have posted about this light yet. I still haven't seen any lumen tests to compare the actual output with the claimed rating.

Do you use the UV much? I had an Olight Arkfield Pro with a 900mW UV emitter, and I'm not sure the drop in power (695mW on the imalent) is going to be worth it just for a much more powerful standard light.

@@stargaming601 It's a filter type that blocks white light which goes on the lense. You lose intensity but more UV is produced.

I have both and still use both. The LD70 is much lighter and makes a wide beam close up. The BL50 has a much longer throw at a similar output and works great for lighting a path.

I have the ld70 and I look at the specs on this bl50, and it's looks like it has a better battery that will last longer at higher lumens. Bl50 has WAY more candela, 4x more!
