I got mine a week ago, Using it when doing walks in the forest. Running 10K lumnes inside a warm house generates a lot of heat. The colder weather the better, this morning it was like -8C outside and the generated heat was much less compared when using it inside where its like +22C. Most of my usage is with the spot function, it will make the battery last longer before recharge (1 led VS 8 led in usage)

I recently bought the MR90, and mine doesn't have any issues with leakage. After watching your video, I ran mine under the sink with running water in High with the fans blowing, and it's water tight in that regard. I do wish they put a handle on the light though, as like you said, it gets HOT, so hot that I would not let my kids operate this. The only other thing that's come to bother me over the course of using this regularly for the past month is the runtime. I really wish Imalent made an 8x battery pack for this. That flat 7,500+ lumen output, if it can stretch double that time, would be quite spectacular and put this in the workhorse category of lights. Too often, we would come back from a hike in the foothills or from reservoir fishing and the batteries are drained before the end of the night. Otherwise, love your reviews! This light is so versatile that my only regret is not buying it sooner.

Between the MR 90 and the SR 16 I know they’re two different lights. What are your thoughts?
@FlashlightEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Unless you need a dual channel, I would go for SR16. Better output, great beam and solid performance
@jlappin6277 Жыл бұрын
I know the throw on the SR 16 will out perform my X 75 70.3 AceBeam .Im worried of The build is and it durability. But the throw on that SR 16 is epic

Sure this MR90 gets hot. When inside its get very hot when using mode 4 or 5. Today its was like -5C outside so I took it out and tested mode 4 for 30 min or so. There was no heat issue at all. I tried the turbo mode for 3.5 min and then it started to get very warm so I shut it down. Sure it consumed like 30% of battery in just that short time :-) Also tested mode 5 (max) for a few minutes and there was some heat building up but not very much.

Thanks for sharing. These lights perform best at winter time, however If there is any snow you can blind yourself easily 🤷

Yo bro how do u open the mr90 casing head, i did the two screw and the thing is hard to come off.

My flood on the light stopped working.
@FlashlightEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Two screws will losen the driver, but all the rest you need to unscrew the bezel (rubbery gloves will do, no glue there), as wires are holding the driver in place. I would suggest using warranty service, If possible

Thank you so much for the great review plus the valuable comparison 🌷. If you could do a comparison between the MR90’s SBT 90 and the RT90’s throw, it would be wonderful. Also, how long in meters to the end of trees / bushes, a bit to your right side?
@FlashlightEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
Thank you, appreciate your support. I would say about 250 m to the tree line in the first beamshot section, than you have 150m to the bushes and 250 again to the church.

If you had to pick a favorite mr90 or ms12 mini?
@FlashlightEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
MS12 mini for me hands down. 3 cooling fans, as well as more balanced beam in middle modes, also slightly lighter and smaller
@alessandrograssi79 Жыл бұрын
Ms12 mini o mr90 ? which one do I choose? Thanks
@FlashlightEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
MS12 mini for more universal beam pattern and more compact size, but MR90 oF you need a flooder and thrower simultaneously. SBT90 throws nicely but XHP70.2 LED are almost like mule giving the wall of light with virtually no throw

Hmm, I wonder what Acebeam could say about it. Their X75 only addresses MS12 mini after one year, so maybe in a couple of months we could see their answer to this model? Highly encoureged ;)

How long runtime low flood ? And runtine low spot? Can imalent mr90 take to adventure? I want buy it's Sory my language broke 🙏🙏🙏
@FlashlightEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
No problem pal, please refer to datasheet on the Imalent's website
@FlashlightEnthusiast Жыл бұрын
Yes, you can take it to an adventure, unless you want to submerge it in water. Also charging might be challenging of there is no access to electrical outlet, as barrel plug is not very convenient as opposed to USB C
@Domovoy-bg7re2 жыл бұрын
Why is imalent mr90 brighter than manker mk38 and acebeam x50 2 with the same LEDs?
@FlashlightEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
It is not the led itself, but also the current that flows through it. If you increase the amperage LED will give more lumens (to a certain point), so it seems Imalent MR90 drives XHP70.2 a bit harder than Acebeam and Manker ;)
@Domovoy-bg7re2 жыл бұрын
Do reflectors affect brightness?
@FlashlightEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
Deeper reflectors will give more focused beam, this perceived brightness in the center will he higher, but relative should be the same. Just different proportions od flood and spot

I wish it wasn't a battery pack and you could change the batteries. This is a no-go in my book.

Get with the times proprietary is becoming very common with flashlight companies now and it has its advantages as well.
@vamheredur4132 жыл бұрын
@@silverpro8356 No, I don't think I will. Just because something new is introduced, doesn't mean it's any good. If you're okay with Acebeam charging 20$ bucks for their proprietary batteries, I am not.
@FlashlightEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
There is a lot controversy these days whether proprietary battery pack are really neccessary to acheive such power (Manker MK38 case proves it wrong). Personally I agree with you that user changable batteries provide much more versatility to an experienced user. However, having ability to charge your flashlight quiackly (especially usig USB C 65W+ charger) can have it's own advantage. It should be a standard for manufacturers to offer both versions, like Manker did with their MK38 model.

Dla mnie osobiście jako szperacz bajka, ale jako flooder to za krótko. Lumintop GT3 przyzwyczaja do dobrego.
@FlashlightEnthusiast2 жыл бұрын
