Oh man, I would love to have one of those. Imagine going hiking and shining it from the mountain.

@@westsenkovec The worst thing would be carrying it on the back, but yeah, in pitch black, you'd make it day!!!

I've had the Imelant MS18 for 2 years now, it's a crazy bright light, and it's heavy. It's cool, but it is so unpractial, I find myself never useing it. I take it out and show friends and family when they visit but my go to light is the Nitecore tm9k, it's crazy bright and light weight. Don't get me wrong I do still like my MS18, you never know when you need the sun at night.

Yup, the size and weight are surely something to think about when getting this light (besides the money factor, of course). Using the shoulder strap makes it easier to carry and handle, but still, you need to do some workout to handle it for a while, considering the almost 2kg it weighs. Besides the WOW factor for familiy and friends, it becomes handy if you live in dark rural area. In the night I was making the other video (night beamshots) I could spot a fox in a field, and any of my other lights wouldn't help on that because of the range/distance of illumination. Smaller lights will, of course, be easy to carry, but this MS18 is "another thing" when lit up! Thanks for your comment and enjoy your lights ;)

Nothing has gone past the MS18 so far, I also have the X70, R90TS, X9R, X80, LR80R, HK90, HT70 to name a few of the most powerful lamps, but the MS18 is again a whole lot brighter and has the best for a flowy all-rounder most range. That would be 18x an Acebeam L30, but with OP and another 1500lm more! An Acebeam L30 is a hit in itself and illuminates an entire field, but you can never imagine the sheer power of light of an MS18, and no camera can capture that because no screen could ever display it, you can only experience it. As with the Freemasons, the secret here is solely in the experience! 🤪 As you already say, and many Flashies have already told Imalent that, either a low shortcut as with the new R30 / 60C is missing or the memory function has to be removed. Classic case - you are traveling with low (measured 1300lm!), Which is actually enough for everything, but you now need more range - so you ramp up, but to get back to low you have to continue ramping over 60,000lm. Or you do it like me - always on low and if you need more light - double click - then off and on again and you're back in low. Only problem - the turbo is always as bright as when a meteor burns up in the atmosphere! 🤣 🤣 🤣 This alone makes the X70 the better lamp in everything, but as mentioned at the beginning - you just can't get around the MS18! 🤪 The light image and light quality are of the highest quality, the workmanship is also very good. In the past, Imalent always failed because of the details, but since the R30 / 60C and the RT / UT90, Imlent has started a new era, because these lamps are now at Acebeam / Fenix / Nitecore level. The choice of the SST70 was also good, because as Fenix has already understood, the slightly greenish tint is very good outside, especially in bad weather. I hope Imalent will finally replace the R90TS with a worthy successor! 18x SST70 or even SFT70 and I'll buy the thing immediately ... if it also has the low-shortcut! 😁

After reading your review, a few more messages from me: 1. The fans do NOT start automatically, the whole thing is again subject to a temperature map. I've been outside with it many times in winter and even with 5-7s Turbo no fan came on. The fans are controlled exclusively via the internal temperature sensor, i.e. the lamp on the head can get warm after a while if you use it in summer, for example. is permanently on the move at 5000lm. Here, too, the X70 scores with its variable manual fan control. 2. The lamp is IP56, i.e. it is not hermetically sealed against dust because of the internal fans. Nevertheless, it is waterproof, even in heavy rain, but must not be submerged because of the fans. If these then work against the increased water resistance, they draw too much current and break. I tested it on my R90TS, 100% waterproof, water can also get in where the cooling fins are located, and the fans are also suitable for moisture. 3. This lamp is really small, light and handy for what it can do! There is currently not a lamp that can keep up, but this is due to the active internal cooling. A smaller lamp with something like that would also be very interesting! 😁
