I think I'm like the 2nd type, whenever I remember death I fear it because i need to repent for any bad deed.

I love Imam AlGhazali a lot and value his great contributions to Islamic understanding, however I'm not sure that we should remember death at all the time to be among the winners in the afterlife. Remember the Hadith in which the prophet (peace be upon him) said to Hanthalah when he said his heart becomes so soft and is filled with Taqwa and God conscious when he is with the Prophet (pbuh) but when he goes away to his work and house things changed. The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) told him "If you remained all the time with the same condition you gave with me, Angels would shake your hands on the streets. However an hour and an hour" like you can not be like that all the time. God knows best!

Salaam brother that narration was on the imaan of the believers, it goes up and down. but there is sahih narration Abu Huraira reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Remember often the destroyer of pleasures,” by which he meant death. on remembering it will stop u fall on harram things. May Allah teach us what will benefit us and benefit us which he taught us amiin

Salams, wonderful reminder mashaAllah, brother/sister, I'm sure it wouldn't be too difficult to have all the graphics excluding the drawing of the face (mouth, eyes, nose, etc). The who makes pictures will be told to give life to it on the day of Judgement and picture makers will be taken to the Hellfire before The Judgement even begins. Severe warnings regarding this in the Ahaadith.

He wrote volumes about his philosophy and you’d need to pick which one you prefer to start with. I bought his book Wonders of The Heart and it really helped to understand the spiritual journey better. I would recommend that you get physical copies of his book whichever it is that you want to start with. I’m sure Amazon has them available :)
