Imam Ali’s (as) Non-Sectarian Islam

@@mhholmez Yes, indeed, Ghali in this context means 'precious and beloved". The verb غلى as explained by our respected Sayyid literally means 'to cross the limits'. When the price of something is too high and is seen to have crossed all reasonable limits, it is called غال , and so this is why one way of telling someone they mean a lot to you and that you consider them precious and beloved beyond any limit is to refer to them as Yaa Akhi al-Ghaali. But this is not the same Ghaali as the one who crosses the limits in exaggerating the status of the Ahlul Bayt (as).
