Now Sheikh is perfectly alright, Alhamdulillah. He had a sudden drop in blood pressure towards the end of the Khutbah and still led the prayer. However he couldn't complete it, and our beloved Sheikh Abdur Rahman as-Sudais took over. Even if the Imam's view camera video would have been released, I would not have uploaded it. Since this is from the broadcast and doesn't focus on the Imams, I uploaded this.

The 2nd Imaam immediately steps in and restarted the recitation of the 1st chapter. Its an obligatory one. Its just that the mic was not clipped on yet. There are people appointed already who would take care of the first one instantly.

SubhanAllah I was inside the haram and I initially thought that the speakers stopped working. It was the jummah salah and I was confused when I heard Sheikh Sudais. It was a very hot day and before jummah me and my wife performed Umrah around 8am in the morning. Even then the heat was unbearable. May Allah give us all the ability to visit the Grand Masjid's. Ameen.

@@asfandshabbir3330 this is possible , when Hazrat Umer RA was stabbed while leading the Fajar prayer, prayer was not stopped or started from the beginning , Abdur rehman bin awf led the prayer while some Sahabas looked after the ameer al Momineen and some rushed to catch the attacker.

So Haramain Archive came out with some inside news from someone who was there. Haramain Archive goes on to say: “At the end of the Khutbah in the supplication, Sheikh Mahir Al Muaiqly began to feel dizziness and it is clear from the Quran TV footage that he was trying to gain control. However, before the end of the Khutbah script, he called for the Salat and sat down on the minbar chair for several minutes. He can be heard saying "وإقامة الصلاة" (establish Salat) just before it. Whilst he was sat on the minbar for a few minutes, he was attended by the Imams present, namely Sheikh Salih in Humaid and Sheikh Abdul Rahman Sudais, and a few officials; Sheikh Mahir Al Muaiqly agreed that he had the strength to lead the Salat. The Iqamah was called after delay. In Salat he began to experience dizziness and began to pass out. Before he collapsed, he was held by the guards who were on security duty. Sheikh Abdul Rahman Al Sudais stepped forward and a few officials helped Sheikh Mahir Al Muaigly exit without causing interference. The Salat ended normally.”

It's a standard that behind the imam his colleagues will stand to replace him in case something happens with the imam (fall ills, or forget the recitation, etc). So it's NOT upsetting, it's just an implementation of Islamic teaching regarding leadership.

No. The prayer should not have been stopped. One person or more should stop praying and attend to him, while another steps in as Imam and continues from where the previous Imam left off. This is the rule. In this case, the security guards who were present took Sheikh Maher to the emergency and Sheikh Sudais stepped up.

As for the words that he utters of takbir, dhikr and du'a, they obviously come under the heading of remembering Allah, may He be exalted. As for kissing the Black Stone , it is an act of worship in which a person kisses a stone to which he has no connection except worshipping Allah, may He be exalted, by venerating it and following the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) by doing that, as it is proven that the Amهr al-Mumineهn ‘Umar ibn al-Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said, when he kissed the Black Stone : I know that you are a stone and have no power to harm or benefit; were it not that I saw the Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) kissing you, I would not have kissed you. With regard to what some ignorant people think, that the purpose behind that is to seek blessing (barakah) from it, there is no basis for that, so it is invalid. With regard to what some heretics have said, that circumambulating the Ka`bah is like circumambulating the graves of their saints, and that it is tantamount to idolatry, this is part of their heresy. The believers only circumambulate the Ka`bah in compliance with the command of Allah, and whatever is done in compliance with the command of Allah, doing it is an act of worship of Allah, may He be exalted. Do you not see that prostrating to anything other than Allah is major shirk (shirk akbar), but when Allah commanded the angels to prostrate to Adam, prostration to Adam was an act of worship to Allah, may He be exalted, and refusing to prostrate to him was an act of disbelief? Hence circumambulation of the Kabah is one of the greatest acts of worship; it is the foundation of the Hajj, and Hajj is one of the pillars of Islam. Hence when the mataf (place of tawaf) is calm, the one who does tawaf experiences the joy of tawaf and feels in his heart that he is close to his Lord, which confirms the virtue and high status of the House of Allah. And it is Allah Whose help we seek.” (Fatawa al-‘Aqidah, pp. 28-29) And Allah knows best.

@@DAGG_Productions the Koran says that the Bible (Old Testament and New Testament ) are trustworthy. The Old Testament says that to worship stones or any false image is idolatry. Read Leviticus 26:1,Isaiah 44:9, Micah5:13, Deuteronomy4:28 and those are just a few examples. When Muhammad first started the religion this practice was adopted from nearby Pagan worship. Please do your research, there is a better way

Are you calling me a coward and hypocrite? Watch your words, brother. I make du'a for them every single day, and that's just about aIl I can do. I can't exactly barge in there with an army. The Imams of the Haramain Sharifain are treading eggshells right now. They can't have public social media accounts, can't address the public without the permission of the Haramain office, aka the King and can't travel abroad without consent. Even the Khutbahs they deliver are reviewed. They do make Du'a for Palestine and against the Jews every night, every Friday during Jumu'ah. That alone is surprising since the government has allowed it.
