This is such a monumental video, that I think EVERY muslim needs to listen to it in order to understand the beautiful complexity of our religion. So many of the lay today think Islam is a black and white religion, when traditionally it was never the case. Alhamdulillah this ni'mah allows Islam to flourish in ALL times and places, rather than for a particular time period and people.

A simple perusal of Mukhtasar Qudoori (A Primer on Hanafi fiqh) lays bare the respectful divergence that existed amongst the scholars. It is important that Islamic law is viewed as a socially affirming middle way. Islamic fundamentalism it naturally tolerant and diverse in being for all psychological types and in all material cultures. Preserving the information of them is not always of interest to liberals and conservatives, but the fundamentalists would want ease in the reference to examples that are best to help each individual and their situations.

"Sum in mondo, non in mondo", perhaps ? Well he does use those typically Popish or Jesuit terms of art like salvation and salvage which belong in the courts of their Ecclesia and Admirality Saga- the body and the spirit subject to the presumption of rapture or their is no game. I Get it: AHM is indeed full of traits of brilliant character, he has that quintessential English charm found in Places like Cambridge, rather like my Headmaster at school, dear to my heart for sure. But who is really listening to what is being said rather than how it is being said ? A core point i took from this was the perceived need to consolidate, codify and quickly resolve a juristic problem by reference to a body of written law or treatises, rather than what is intuitively known in the heart - here is the problem - that then becomes subject to change and the argument of outdated ideas and novation to suit the modern agenda of the day. He was correct in that the Roman Civil or Even English Law had reached a zenith with its Canons only to be inverted and destroyed by reformers (see the law Commisioners reports and Hansard) - it was this logic that brought us the modern State which now sees the Family Unit as an expression of the Idealism or ideology of Corporatists -politicians, Bankers, Judges rather than the State being a necessary means through which the Family is secured and thus society has a valid stability. You can have your Children deemed wards of the State and stolen from you because you might be a harm to them one day, yet State harm actually committed by its agents on children and Families as a whole is considered a necessary act to preserve the means (slavery/tyranny) and not the End ( free from). You will follow them like the lizard scatters down its hole .

The idolaters spared no expenses to try to destroy the messenger of God saws and his followers. Followers who were persecuted, tortured, killed, humiliated, starved, oppressed and emprisonned for abandoning the idols, for believing only in God and for following the truth and righteous exemple of His messenger. So why should the Messenger (saws) and his followers not have used all possible strategies to defeat such an evil and diabolical enemy? An enemy that tried to shut off the Light of God? You prefer polytheism to Truth? You prefer wickedness over righteousness? Muhammad, the beloved of God (saws) was the best servant of God, the best leader of men, the best friend of nature and the animals, the best human examplar, the best and most accomplished human being. The best of Creation (saws). He did well to attack the tyrannical idol worshippers at dawn. That was the smartest and wisest course of action. It made for a quick victory and it spared lives.
