Simple but very deep and very true, I felt tears in my eyes while listening to this sermon, I guess because of the sincerity of Shiekh Abdel Hakim that we feel overwhelms his marvellous lectures and lessons. May Allah grant him a prolonged healthy and happy life.

Salamu 'Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi was Barakatuhu, Sheikh, Murad I so much admire your lecturing. It is very enlightening. I do agree with you that many of the followers of Imam Al Salafi and Imam Ibn Taymiyah are oblivious to the rigours of the world on the basis of the supersedence of the self for preservation of Islam. However, one cannot blame İmam Ibn Taymiyah and İmam Al Salafi for their followers being out of touch with reality when their other followers like Sheikh Qaradawi and Jamal Al Din Al Afghani and Muhammad Iqbal support the Islamic theosophical precepts of 'Elm Al Kul, Elm Al Nafs and El Nafs Kul which is El Kul Bil Kul of Matter, Mad: The Universal Intelligence, The Intelligent Self and the Universal Self which is the All In All of Matter. This is the origin of modern day existentialism. Islamic Existentialism unlike Buddhist and Western Existentialisms prove that God is beyond the eternity of matter simply because Allah, God is matter beyond the fecundity of matter relative to the dimensions of space and time but an existence which precludes this existence as a comparable subsistence whether as a sole universe or a universe within the multiverse which is yet not beyond which created every thing. İmam, Sheikh Murad, with all do respect please keep in mind that tamakhen, mitigation is very much an Islamic concept as well. Therefore, the Western Scholars of Islam are no less followers of İmam Al Salafi and Ibn Taymiyah and İmam Al Furabi. The Ummah owes them our respect and so does the whole of Mankind...

I have been studying this Indo Islamic history for years but it seems so shallow in front of Shaykh Abdal Hakeems knowledge. The way he put the layout from foundation to end is near perfect in my opinion. How did he do his research so well! 🤯

As a Christian, I must say, what a wise, erudite and compassionate teacher Islam has in this man, Abdal Hakim Murad. His is a voice of intelligence and moderation. This is definitely a talk for anyone of whatever religious persuasion to highlight as a favourite and to listen to again and again.

Thank you for this, Mr. Rothman. You are eloquently putting the thoughts and beliefs I have jumbled together mentally into words, making them much more straightforward and profound, as well as providing much in terms of new incredible perspectives and thoughts. God Bless, Jazakh Allahu Khayran.

He's saying this for the believers. Because some people still look for a scientific explanation for nearly everything. One example is something like smoking. It's not inherently forbidden, but anything that harms your body is forbidden therefore smoking is forbidden. People jump through hoops trying to justify their behavior. But once something is commanded and forbidden, you do it or avoid it, no questions asked. Since you're maybe not a believer, you wouldn't get my point. Good luck though

Assalamualeykum The way I see it - Allah swt promised rewards for certain actions - because He knows they help motivate His creation... There is so much temptation, so many "worldly" rewards one is exposed to for all sorts of wrongs, that I think it's commendable to seek reward from Allah instead. Allah swt is Al Kareem - the most generous, so why act as though we are above / superior / too great to seek His rewards? To me, seeking reward from Allah swt - especially when He has promised those rewards - represents: * Humility - recognising our dependence / subservience; not feeling independent / superior / like we're beyond being motivated by His rewards * Humility - recognising that we need Him, that without His generosity, we'd be lost * Faith - knowing with certainty that the reward from Allah swt is as real as any material reward * Trust - trusting Allah swt, that He will keep His promise, and reward us if we do our best. * Resilience / Motivation - keep your eye on the prize when things get tough - get through difficult times * Guidance - being guided through the promise of rewards to make the right decisions I really don't see it as something negative - why should I, when these rewards are promised by God Himself, and conveyed to us by His prophet ﷺ? The example of the friend from the video seems unfitting - imagine instead that a King promises us a reward for doing something, and we say to the King - I'll do it, but you keep your reward, I don't need it... How insulting that would be! It's not that we wouldn't obey the King if he didn't promise a reward... It's not that we feel like we deserve the reward... It's not that we feel that we're amazing because we were offered a reward etc... It's simply that we recognise our station as so dependent on Allah swt, that we can't do without Him... And we recognise that He swt is Forgiving, and Most Generous - and so we accept His Generosity with humility, gratefulness, and love and devotion...

this is quite similar to what I used to hear, used to hear an atheist(what he holds seems to be more towards agnostic) argued it's better for a believer to just say he/she believe because of faith, instead of using rationale to justify that God exists. (i.e just because you can't explain something doesn't mean that it's because God did it-lack of concrete based on science(observable) evidence to really show that God did it. Thank you for this short explanation.😊😊
