---------------------
[About the bento box]
Hi it’s imamu! I get some questions about my husband’s bento box so let me talk about that. First of all, the bento box is my mom send me from Japan. If you interested in the bento box, please check Amazon Japan ( Japanese one has many choices(design, size). need to change language setting from the menubar )
••• my husband’s bento box •••
Name/ 「Wooden bento box」 or 「Wappa bento box」
Size/ Small
(The size is important to arrange your amount of food. In my husband case...he doesn’t wanna eat too much at his work. I wanna pack the side dishes tightly because he put on his backpack when he get work. We don’t the dishes wanna act up that’s why small size for him.)
How he eats/
He eats the bento like room temperature. That’s natural thing for me and him. He also wanna start eating lunch at work quickly.
The reason why I like wooden bento box is/
1. The nostalgic design :)
2. Lightweight
3. The rice is tasty
( The wood moisturizes so that’s it won’t easily become hard to get stuck even when the rice is cold) ←This is depend on the wood quality. I guess( hope lol ) our bento box working well for that~
How I treat the wooden box/
1. Wash (ours is urethane coating so I use soap)
2. Wipe up wet part with a towel
3. Dry naturally
( The wood don’t go well with water. When my husband can’t wash and dry naturally it at work, just wipe up in the box and bring home. ( and I treat lol )
I learn that’s better rather than wash and put it in backpack soon.)
I explain a lot but I just wanna say, it’s important to use bento box that you LIKE :) ( If you like hello kitty, that would be so cute ~!)
I think they motivate a lot to make bento !

I can never understand men (or anyone really) who take this sort of stuff for granted or even complain. I grew up poor with a single dad who could barely cook toast and when he remarried and suddenly not only did I get regular meals cooked for me, but they also werent TV dinners I was thrilled. Anytime someone cooks for me, even if its a sandwich I get excited. If i were at work at someone offered to share half of one of these bento boxes with me i'd probably propose to them on the spot.

put y'all seatbelts on They're probably good (i.e. deserving) husbands. 😉 (With good wives, of course). If I were married and my spouse treated me well, I'd go out of my way to make them happy, too. (If the opposite, forget it). That's great! Not many husbands I know of would do that (willingly). Always treat your wife like a queen (and make her feel like one, too). Happy wife = peace in the home.

@@TheVioletMaze ah yeah stay at home mum (or dad) is a big job. I personally know i wouldn't be as good at the job as my bf. On top, I'll be gaining nearly double of what he earns in the future, so financially it will also make more sense. However my personal favourite would be not for one parent to stay at home 100% and the other working 100%, because i think it's important for children to have a bit of every parent. However, not every job lends this flexibility, so we will see ^^

First time coming across you video and I've already liked and subscribed. It's such a homely video as you actually break down the step by step of making your daily bentos, without the over-zealous focus on proportions and measurements. I really like this. Thanks so much! I am so excited to learn more of your amazing home recipes and definitely going to use the corn rice trick! I was drooling so much!

I love cooking Japanese food using the ingredients and cooking tools. We have many great Asian stores here in Vancouver BC where I get to explore and find new things to try. These type of videos are very informative and inspirational.

It gets deformed because she always pours in too much eggs in the pan all at once. 😂😅 I think, this is because she is either always in a rush or because she doesn't know that you have to put less to accomplish a thin layer of egg.. haha But I like it that she can make use of it anyway even if it deforms or is not perfect.

I am in shock and feel bad for the rest of the world. In the US (or at least where I live, Texas) no one is aware that corn has a “season” and we have access to it all year, fresh and frozen.
@legendoffrog3794
@legendoffrog3794 3 жыл бұрын
@@ashleighberryman9280 Just because you have access to it, does not mean its in season ;) for example, you can probably get strawberries in winter too although their season is in spring - those probably come from far away or are grown in big greenhouses. Therefore its better to buy the veggies and fruits that have season, else you might have a bad influence on the climate
@MaybeLily1234
@MaybeLily1234 3 жыл бұрын
Its not that we don't have it year round its that we grow it ourselves. When its in season you can pick straight from the garden or local farmers, but when not you can find it at the grocery store where the produce was grown in greenhouses.
