I'd advise not composing with limiters etc. on your main output, in my opinion you should also leave limiting and various other output mixing techniques until the mixing stage of your project.

There's definitely a tone in the chords that drops, all the notes don't go up. There's for a sure a high note in the first chord that you're missing. It's one of the most interesting things about those chords, that while the chord as a whole moves up the top notes actually fall.
