Hey! Bought your 2022 kit and I'm fucking amazed by the quality! Excited for the 23 one. I just wanted to shoot a question about when you use midi and when you use patterns. When do you decided to use either one of them?

Happy to know you enjoying the 2022 kit! I use patterns almost all the time expect mainly for 2 reasons. 1 for hihats and i want to adjust the velocity on rolls (as you can't do that per note in patterns) and other times when i want a longer pattern its just a little easier to see where things are going that way. Oh and whenever I need pitch stuff, like 808s i use midi

Definitely try sampling this way next time. It will make it a lot easier figuring out the sections and timing of the sample

Im sort of new to logic, when I went to the alchemy tab only some presets were there but the ones used here like clockwork ballerina werent there how do i fix this?

Make sure you download all Logic content. choose Logic Pro top left corner and go to Sound Library then Open Sound Library Manager. In the Sound Library Manager, select the checkbox for each content package. If you have the space I recommend downloading everything

These generic beats are getting so old..like let's bring in some new flavor..bring in some complexity. I'd keep the 808's but bring in less high hat rolls, more open hats, layered snares, limited samples and mid 2000's melodies.
