For me, fish keeping and aqua scaping content should be like this - relaxing and informative at the same time. This 3-part series did just that. Great work.

Oh, I think that this is my favorite so far! I love love love everything! And you have such beautiful textures and colors in the mix of plants. I love that the rocks turned green and I love your tiny beautiful fish! You have such a good eye for the Hardscape and the planting and we are so lucky that you are talented with your videos! Absolutely stunning!

I really love your long term tanks and updates. It's nice to see how things progress over long periods. Not many channels like that around.
@IMaqua Жыл бұрын
I fully agree with you. I don't know many channels that do regular updates. It is interesting to see how an aquarium will look after 3, 6, 12 months and what really happens during that time.

@@IMaqua The longest I ever had a tank was 3 years. That was back in Australia when I was still pretty new to the entire process. But it was a dense jungle of stems that my Ghost Knife lived in. He grew from 10cm when I got him to 35cm in 7 years. I gave him away to a friend of the family with a pond in the end. He outgrew the 4ft tank. Super cool fish but will eat anything and everything after a certain point. You need a blue light to really appreciate them as well.

I would love to do something similar in the future. Maybe Channa bleheri; they don't grow that big. My oldest aquarium in the fish room is my Walstad aquarium that is now 14 months old. I am not planning to break it in the near future.

@@IMaqua They are cool! They remind me of Snake head gudgeons.

That's the biggest fish I would ever keep. I prefer smaller fish 6-7cms max

I love how the rocks are green, just enough algae to make them look like they belong here in this green island!

Exactly. Everything turned into one green island.

Hello, and thank you for this update. Endlers are great little fish; I think they are better than guppies. I like how hardy they are, and they can take lower temperatures, and I find their color amazing. I have these in my nephew's 10-gallon Walstad tank, and he can look after them with no problem as a young fishkeeper. I also agree with you about snails; they are the secret to a happy, healthy aquarium. Keep up the great work, and take care.
@IMaqua Жыл бұрын
Thanks Phil. I also prefer endlers. They are so playful and smaller than guppies so I can keep more of them.

Beautiful Scape. I wonder if a few Corydoras would add interest and save some maintenance
@IMaqua Жыл бұрын
At the time I had this aquarium I couldn't get any Corydoras. But if they were available I think 5-6 Panda Corydoras would be perfect.

How do you get the crystal clear water?
@IMaqua Жыл бұрын
To be honest... I am not doing anything special. Just regular water change, plant trimming and removal of dead plants. That is all.

I have a similar tank. I do get some black algae on the leaves. Can you list the led light you are using and the light schedule. Is the light RGB. Thank You.
@IMaqua Жыл бұрын
The light is Chihiros LED System Series A II. I am keeping light for 7 hours a day around 20% brightness. It is not RGB light.
@martinicu Жыл бұрын
Thanks . I will definitely lower my brightness@@IMaqua

Most of the LED lights on the market are too powerful especially for low tech aquariums.

How come there are no water marks on the aquarium glass even after 5 months. Is there anything you are doing for that?
@IMaqua Жыл бұрын
Do you mean hard mineral deposits on the glass?
@anuka57 Жыл бұрын
Yes
@IMaqua Жыл бұрын
@@anuka57 I clean the glass every week so the mineral deposits are not visible.

How many free liters do the aquarium has and how much is 40%? I have 25 liters of free wather and I change 5 liters a week.
