Why on earth would you take off with the foggles visor on? Even in real IFR conditions you still need 1500m visibility to take off.

To show what can be done exactly? Take off in conditions which are below the LEGAL limits! The student has now taken off in these (simulated) conditions, so might think its okay to do it once qualified ( Laws of primacy ie monkey see monkey do ). If he has an engine failure on take off in zero viz and a cloud base below the legal limit he is going to die!

Gliders do cloud climbs quite often. Quite legal as long as they declare it on 130.535 but power pilots don't monitor that frequency so there lies the big gamble for all of us !! Gliders fly with anti collision called FLARM but powered GA have their own systems ! All a bit crazy really until the whole system could be standardised

Great video, however I'm a big fan of sterile cockpits and I believe this was on the verge of not sterile. What you are doing is serious and demands to be treated as such.
