The website doesn’t lead you to apply for work permit but in the website says you can get work permit alongside other permits you have. @@niaztishegaran3289 hi, well what I eventually found out was that you can apply through website and choose your status as a visitor (so that it will lead you to apply for open work permit) and when you are completing the application, there you declare that you’re a student. I got this answer asking around but Consult with other people as well. I haven’t done it myself so can’t really say anything about aftermath. Best of luck!

But I had a talk with an IRCC agent and they said you can do it while keeping your study permit because its an open work permit but when I asked about how to do it on the website they didn't know. Hello Max, thanks for the video and great explanation. I’m sure all Iranians will find it very helpful. My parents are Iranian citizens with valid visitor visa. Their PR application through parents sponsorship program is currently under review by IRCC. However, it will likely take about 2 years to process. Can they apply for open work permit through the Iranian measure program in the meanwhile? They are currently retired but are interested to get a job here if they get working status.

Hi Max, I really appreciate it that you explained this policy step by step. I have a question .Currently, I have 3 years PGWP that will be expired on 2025 . I am working and I want to extend this work permit .If I apply through this new policy , for explaining my current immigration status should I choose "worker" or "visitor" ?or should I ignore my current work permit and apply by my temporary visitor visa permit which will be expired on 2027?
