The reason people don’t agree is because to agree, you have to admit that no matter how you feel/identify, you can’t change what you were born as. If you were born as a man, you will always have a biological advantage over a person born a female. There will still be a skill gap, but if you’re competing at a pro level you’re pretty skilled.

Almost any sport is going too far. The only sports that might be fair are sports like golf where the players don't have to interact with eachother and the physical requirements aren't very high. Any sport where athleticism matters, or where the athletes make physical contact with eachother regularly, would not be fair. There is a reason why men and women's sports are separated. Unfortunately, our society is so priveleged that we now thing we can deny biology and litteral scientific facts in order to cater to people's feelings. It's very sad.

Cis women can walk up in there BUILT, high genetics all that and the same thing would be said like of course they're at an advantage if everyone else is built a different way, same with men. So IMO it isn't trans individuals that would be an issue for sport, because in some cases we have things like that. I believe the middle ground should be depending on how you are built. Some Cis Women could go against a Cis Man and besides gender it could be seen as fair. Overall if we go by just regular puberty no enhancements or things like that, in most cases there would be that unbalance of advantages

One side says it's all about ability in sports, the other says the biology matters more. The reality is that they both matter and thats why they both should be respected. A PROFESSIONALLY skilled male athlete vs a PROFESSIONALLY skilled female athlete is going to now come down to the makeup of their body in the works with their skill. At that point the average pro male athlete is more likely to have the advantage. It's not about it being an advantage or disadvantage in EVERY scenario for it to be recognized as unfair. If I take the top woman javelin thrower in the world and put her against the top male javelin thrower... something where there's no physical contact, simply anatomy and technique. It's respectfully an easy win. Even down to the bad athletes on both sides, the males are at an advantage there as well. It's not a bad thing, it's a matter of is this really the path you were born for? Or are you forcing a dream at the expense of millions of others...

"Why she built like that?"😂 ☠️ Why they choose THAT trans woman to be on there? 👀 Dude was a man for a whole 40yrs. That's literally the argument of the video...
@underoverachiever70933 жыл бұрын
The issue is extremely complicated and nuanced, you need to take it on a case-by-case basis, if someone was on puberty blockers and is a trans woman, then they have no advantage since they never went through male puberty. The issue is very complicated, and it can't be answered with a definitive yes or no.

Just from doing a brief skimming over this channel I can tell it's yet another entry into the "psuedodebate" genre. There's no oversight from experts in the related fields, no testimony from professional athletes, no studies/analysis/etc. beyond whatever is said between the groups. Some people even after puberty don't possess the claimed "advantages" that the process is stereotypically known to give them. Valid suspicion has been shown over potentially staged/bribed/misled actors and staff who create this content. It's like if content mills like Buzzfeed/Mashable/Vox/Vice/Brew/whatever tried to give professionalism. It does nobody any good; not to mention they break one of the fundamental rules of logical debate - giving both sides the chance to present the strongest arguments and examples for themselves. They didn't do this and failed as a result - if this was a trial and I was the judge this would be declared invalid (mistrial). Now with the position of the Overton window as it currently stands this question(s) probably will not be resolved in time before it pulls away and massive upheaval in society begins again.

One idea that I don't see people mentioning, is fundamentally changing how we categorise the different groups in competitive sports. In track for example, you can split people up by weight, hormone ratio, height, bone density, or any other variable rather than by gender. Let me clarify that I am not an expert on this topic, and may have completely lost the plot here, but it felt like an idea that people don't seem to be considering.

Look you have an advantage physically, but for anyone who has practiced any marital arts knows that even if you're the buffest person around, you're gonna get your ass handed to you if you lack the skill. So if it comes to combat sports and you are against a Transgendered women vs a cis-women who are equally skilled, of course the Transgendered women is really beatin her ass. When they are equally or similarly as skilled, its going depend on their physical abilities. This is why I agree with this statement.

If you’ve fully transitioned then it’s fine (which usually takes a few years with a lot of medical and psychological stuff) but it’s usually more fine if the person started transitioning before puberty started and was on puberty blockers. For example, this could help people who want to be MtF and don’t get the male puberty (deepening of voice, faster muscle growth, the bone stuff, hair, etc) and then they can take hormones to instead go through a female puberty instead and can even get bottom surgery if wanted. This would make the process much easier since you haven’t been through your assigned to birth puberty. Obviously you would have to go through this huge process first, because after that’s all done you’d biologically be around what cis people are of what you transitioned to. Any other variance would be similar to like, how there are gonna be taller and stronger women than me, who are just as woman as the next. So, only if you’ve fully transitioned, but I think that’s how it is now anyways and if you haven’t been through that, you have to do events with your assigned to birth stuff
@dubzybc54573 жыл бұрын
Yea I like where your going but I can only speak on myself I've started HRT at 18 so I had my puberty but I was lucky to be small and 5'3 120lbs I think their need to be rules on how big you can get b4 starting HRT to go into sports because theirs only so much puberty natural muscles can do like mine are totally useless.

@@dubzybc5457 that’s true, but I’m sure there wouldn’t be many men who transition to women who are built like Lebron or anything (I know that’s hyperbolic) but I understand the concern.
