Fun Fact: According to my mom, cartoons use to be played in movie theaters before the movie began during the 50s & 60s. She disliked them, but she never told me why. Further proof, if you owned the VHS version of Auntie Mame (1958), in the previews, there’s a full episode of the looney toons. I ask my mom why they episode was there, and she gave me that fun fact.

I'm 41. I grew up on Warner Bros cartoons. I used to go around the house imitating this never knowing what I was doing at the time. My parents didn't say anything because the were born in Mexico and had no idea of American racism or what racism was unless it happened to them. It's different when you come from a country where poverty is the big fight vs racism.
