Meta Knight is a high tier for me, even before I played the character I've always thought he got less credit than he deserved. Really glad abadango is showing what he can do. He can be volatile though because he does rely on hitting ladders often even though edgeguarding is also a good win con especially in certain MUs

On paper it makes some sense why Metaknight would cause trouble for Min-Min. Look at how Abadango plays the matchup - he's almost never on the same vertical plane as Proto. He spends a ton of time hopping around, whiffing aerials that Min-Min can't effectively punish. And when he is on the ground, he moves really fast, and is constantly trying to force Proto into disadvantage. Beyond that, even if Min-Min commits with a move, Metaknight has several excellent movement options, including one that's invincible and ends in a strong hitbox. It seems like it's really hard to play Min-Min's typical neutral game against that. Plus, nair is just... horrible offstage.

The craziest part is Aba isn’t doing a lot of IDJ resets for ladders or condor diving which helps meta knight a LOT.

@@rayandthejets I think most of the people begging to ban Steve weren't around for brawl or smash 4. Heck, even just now at super smash con, almost everyone in smash 4 top 8 was bayonetta. Steve isn't even half as oppressive as these other clearly unbalanced characters, and there's clear counterplay to figure out against him.

@@rayandthejets Even the gameplay isn't in the same league. Watching bayonetta stuff out pretty much every option other characters have is commonplace. In those games, one character is so powerful at all levels of play, that there isn't much point in playing another character. In Ultimate, even if a year from now Steve is declared the best character, there's PLENTY of characters with insane options, insane movement, insane confirms. It's just not the same situation, but because ultimate has the biggest audience smash has ever had, and also because minecraft gets tons of hate, having a few top level Steve players is just too much I guess lol
